    The funeral of William H. Klinger, 59, of Sacramento, who died Tuesday afternoon at Pottsville Hospital, will take place Saturday afternoon from the Arthuy R. Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View, with the Rev. Robert Eastlack, Klingerstown, officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, RDLykens.
    Mr. Klinger was born Feb. 10, 1919 at Spring Glen, son of the late William I. and Beulah Schwalm Klinger. He was an Army veteran of World War II having served from 1943 to 1946. He was stationed in Okinawa and Korea. He was employed the past 12 years as a cobbler by Johnson-Baillie Shoe Co., Millersburg. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, RD Lykens, American Legion Post 575, Valley View, Pennsylvania German Society, Klingerstown Fire Company and Pleasant Hill Grange.
    Surviving are his widow, the former Mary A. Kessler; a daughter, Mary, wife of Barry Tschozp, Stewartstown; two grandchildren; one sister, Catherine, wife of Carl Lubold.

    He was a membejr of Tri-Valley Senior Citizens and Valley View and Hegins Fire Companies.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Kathryn Klinger; a son Carl W. Jr., Harrisburg; a grandson, William; a brother, Albert, of Palmyra.

    Surviving are a daughter, Mary Tschopp, Stewartstown; a brother, John Kessler, RD Lykens; three sisters, Eva Wiest, Sacramento, Dora Mattern and Leah Hollenbach, both of Millersburg; two grandchildren and a great grandson.

    Tombstone at Klinger's Church inscribed: "Hier ruhet in Gott Elizabeth Hoffee, Geweib von Abraham Hoffee; geboren am 9 ten Merz 1775; starb am 18 ten Mai, 1852; War alt 77 yahre, 2 monata und 9 tage."

    Melvin S. Daniels, 91, of South Tulpehocken Street, Pine Grove, died Monday, May 12, [2008,] at ManorCare, Pottsville.
    Bom in Valley View, July 10, 1916, he was a son of the late Stanford and Vertie Klinger Daniels.
    He was a 1934 graduate of Tremont High School and had been employed as a trimmer for the former Fox-Knapp Mfg., Pine Grove.
    He was a member of the Methodist church.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther 1. Noll Daniels, on Dec. 12, 1988; a son, Robert M. Daniels, in 2003; two brothers, Marlin and Howard Daniels; and a sister, Vivian Shepler.
    Surviving are a grandson, Jeffrey Daniels, York; a sister, June Huber, Las Vegas, Nev; several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were held Friday, May 16, from H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with Dr. Ira C. Lydic officiating. Interment was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, West Wood Street, Pine Grove.3
