    Jean M. Kessler, 46, of Berrysville, died Tuesday evening in Harrisburg Hospita.
    Born in Pitman, she was a daughter of Darwin L. Boyer, Elizabethville area, and Margaret Boyer, Sunbury.
    She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Pillow, Dauphin County.
    She was employed by Johnson-Bailie Shoe Co. and Riverside Shoe Co., both in Millersburg.
    Surviving are, her husband, David; three sons, Steven Klouser, Berrysburg, Chris Klouser, Elizabethville area, and Eric Kouser, Spring Glen; a daughter, Tionni Kessler, at home; two sisters, Lois Reitz, Elizabethville area, Anne Koppenhaver, Sunbury; a brother, Roger Boyer, Shamokin area; four grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday from Hoover Funeral Homes, Elizabethville. The Rev. John Grill will officiate. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Pillow.

    Darwin L. Boyer, 77
    PITMAN -- The funeral for Darwin L. Boyer, 77, Pitman RD1, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. James Lutheran Church, Pitman, by the Rev. Paul Fisher of Leck Kill. Burial will be in Jacob's Cemetery, Pitman RD1.
    Visitors may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown RD1, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday in the church.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
    Mr. Boyer died Tuesday evening in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he had been a patient for one day.
    He had been in ill health since February. Prior to entering the hospital, he had lived with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Reitz of Elizabethville RD1, since March.
    Born in Mount Carmel, Nov. 15, 1910, he was a son of the late Irvin and Stella (Kahler) Boyer. In 1933, he married the former Margaret Morgan, a resident of the Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Sunbury.
    Mr. Boyer was a retired coal miner and carpenter and was last employed in the maintenance department at the Mandata Poultry Plant, Hemdon RD1.
    He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and the Mahantongo Fire Company, both in Pitman.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Roger D. of Shamokin RD1; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Reitz of Elizabethville RD1 and Ms. Anne Koppenhaver of Sunbury; 12 N grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Dunkelberger of Hemdon RD1 and Mrs. Edith Gilbert of Pitman RD1; and one brother, Truman of Donaldson.
    He was preceded in death by two daughters, Mrs. Marion Adams, who died in 1979, and Mrs. Jean Kessler, who died in May, and a brother and a sister.

    Born in Baltimore, Md, Jan. 5, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Lewis O. and Amelica M. Biles Morgan. She was a 1933 graduate of Pine Park High School, Leck Kill.
    She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Pitman.
    Her husband, Darwin L. Boyer, died Sept. 6, 1988. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Marion Adams, in 1979, Jean Kessler, in 1988, and Anne Koppenhaver, March 1993; two granddaughters, Ruth Ann Roscoe, in 1987, and Rita Jane Adams, in 1962.
    Surviving are a daughter, Lois Reitz, RD1 Elizabethville; a son, Roger D., RD1 Shamokin; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. James Lutheran Church, Pitman, with the Rev. Paul Fisher officiating. Interment will be in Jacob's Cemetery, RD1 Pitman.
