    Born in Lykens, October 8, 1937 a son of the late Guy and Theda Mae Campbell Bohner
    Bill attended Lykens High School. He was a Army Veteran of the Korean War and Desert Storm. He retired from the National Guard 131st unit, Williamstown where he was a cook and a truck driver.
    He was of the Protestant faith; a member of the Williamstown American Legion. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his two grandsons, Austin and Ethan.
    In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by his wife, Norma Starnowsky Bohner, 2005; two daughters, Betty and Linda Green.
    Surviving are his two daughters, Tammy Keisling and her husband, Ryan, Elizabethville and Teresa L. Bradley and her husband Daniel, Tower City; two sisters, Sara Underkoffler, Williamstown; Bonnie Minnich, Clarks Valley; one brother, Dave Bohner, Hegins; 5 grandchildren 1 Great Grandson
    Memorial services will be held Monday, July 9th at 12:30 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Tower City with Rev. Robert Bingaman. Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 -12:30 at the chapel. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to Williamstown American Legion, 123 W. Market Street, Williamstown PA 17098.3

    Yvonne L. "Bonnie" Minnich, 82, of Tower City (Clarks Valley), passed away Tuesday morning, August 1, 2023 at the Northern Dauphin Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Millersburg.
    Born in Pottsville, March 28, 1941, a daughter of the late Guy and Theda Mae Campbell Bohner.
    Bonnie was a retired seamstress, working in the local garment industry.
    She was a member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church. At the church, she sang for the choir and previously held the position of financial secretary. She was very involved with the annual madrigal dinner.
    Bonnie will be remembered for her beautiful singing voice. She was a talented soloist who would perform at weddings. She also had a sweet tooth for chocolate and tasty cakes, and she enjoyed watching movies. Above all, Bonnie's family meant the world to her.
    In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John A. "Ted" Minnich, August 15, 2005, and her brother William Bohner.
    Surviving are her two daughters, Debra Kandybowski and her husband Jim, and Lori Deiter and her husband Jim, both of Clarks Valley; two grandchildren, James Deiter III and his wife Jamie, and Christine Duey and her companion Andy Showers; four great grandchildren, James R. and his wife Brittany, and Emma, Clark, and Eli; two great grandsons, Levi and Liam; one brother, Guy David Bohner, Hegins; one sister, Sara Underkoffler, Williamstown; nieces and nephews.
    Memorial services will be held Monday, August 7, 2023 at 4:00 PM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home with Pastor William Romberger officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:30-4:00 PM. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at Porter Tower Lions Club.
    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1931 Wiconisco St., Tower City, PA 17980.

    William Deppen, age 71 years, 11 months and 7 days, died at his home in Northumberland County, near Hebe, early Monday morning, A daughter, Mrs. Frank Schaffer and family were residing with him. Mr. Deppen had suffered a stroke three days previous ond death was caused by a cerebral hemmorrhage.
    Mr. Deppen was born December 21, 1859 in Jordan Township, Northumberland County, in which community he spent his entire life. His wife, formerly Miss Catherine Wentzel died a number of years ago. Mr. Deppen was a member of St. David's Lutheran Church at Hebe.
    He is survived by a son, Charles Deppen of Sunbury; three daughters, Mrs. John Bohner, Mrs. Oscar Schlegel and Mrs. Frank Schaffer, all of Hebe; four brothers, John of Hebe, Samuel of Hershey, Charles Deppen of Shamokin; Daniel Deppen, Ashland; and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Schwalm of Hegins and Mrs. Knorr of Atlantic City, N. J.
    Funeral services were held from the residence of a daughter, Mrs. Oscar Schlegel, Wednesday morning and further services were held in the Hebe Lutheran Church in charge of the W. H. Bowman Funeral Service. Rev. Walter Wagner, pastor of the Stone Valley Lutheran Charge officiated and burial was made in the Hebe cemetery.
    For many years, Mr. Deppen was a leading carpenter of his community, and had been employed by the Reading Coal and Iron Com pany. He retired several years ago.

    Albert Deppen's Mother Expires
    Mrs. Daniel Deppen, 60, mother of Albert Deppen, this city, died at her home, 19M Walnut street, Ashland, at 12:55 a.m. today after a serious illness of three days.
    She was born near Pillow, Pa., July 2, 1881. Her maiden name was Harriet Troutman and she was a daughter of the late Henry and Angeline (Tobias) Troutman. A resident of Ashland about 24 years, she was a member of Zion's Lutheran Church there and was also affiliated with the P. O. of A., Lavelle.
    She leaves her husband; two daughters. Mis. Oscar Bower, Kling-erstown, and Mrs. Frank Renner, Ashland; two sons, the one in Mount Carmel, and Elmer S. Deppen, Ashland; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild; these brothers and sisters: Morris Troutman, of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. William Shade, of Fearnot, David Troutman, of Lykens Township, Mrs. John Brown, of Sunbury, Mrs. Irvin Rothermel, and Mrs. Daniel Rebuck, both of Rebuck, Pa., Mrs. Alvin Klinger, of Gratz, and Guerney Troutman, of Pillow.
    Funeral services will be held at the residence in Ashland at two o'clock Thursday afternoon, interment following in Fountain Springs cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services.
