    Harry W. Copenhaver. New Ringgold candy store owner, was found dead in the bedroom of his home Friday. He was 71.
    The Rev. A. R. Hunsberger, Schuylkill County Deputy coroner, said death was due to inhalation of coal gas fumes.
    Copenhaver's body was found on the bedroom floor by neighbors Claude Humphrey and Raymond Nester of New Ringgold after they noticed there was no activity around the store all day.
    Upon entering the Copenhaver home, both Humphrey and Nester said the residence was filed with fumes.
    The time of death was placed at 2:30 a.m. Friday by Rev. Hunsberger. Copenhaver's body was found late in the afternoon.
    Native of Pottsville
    Born in Pottsville, a son of the late William and Elizabeth (Deppen) Copenhaver, he was a retired plumber and resided in Orwigsburg until four years ago when he moved to New Ringgold to open the candy store. He lived alone.
    His wife, the former Florence M. Endy, died several years ago. He was a veteran of World War I.
    Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth of Hampton, Va., and Mrs. Margaret M. Cafwrello of Wyomissing; two sons, Walter of Salty Creek Mills and Warren of Sinking Swings R.1: a sister Mrs. Millie Wagner of Pottsville and 17 grandchildren.
    Services will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow in the Snyder Funeral Home, Snyders. Viewing will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. today.

    She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, Republican Club of Schuylkill County, SPCA and AARP.

    Leroy C. Bindley, 79, of 245 Wallace St., Pottsville, died Wednesday afternoon in Pottsville Hospital.
    Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late John Franklin and Minnie Koppenhaver Bindley.
    Mr. Bindley was employed by Lehigh Valley Dairy until his retirement in 1971. He was also a former custodian of the YWCA, Pottsville.
    He served with the Army in 1920-21.
    His wife, the former Catherine Motz, died in 1975.
    Surviving are two daughters, Virginia Edling, Philadelphia, and Ardis Bindley, at home; a brother, Frank, East Mines; a sister, Catherine Cap-pell, Saint Clair; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from William H. Schlitzer Funeral Home Jr., Pottsville. The Rev. Thomas L. Edwards, pastor of St. Joseph's Church, Reading, will officiate. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville.

    She was a retired machine operator for the Argo Corpo., Schuylkill Haven, and Wearever Pentil Co., Deer Lake. She was of the Protestant faith.
    Her husband, James L., died June 2, 1982. She was the last member of her immediate family.
    Surviving are a four daughters, Jean Rhoades, Saint Clair, Jacqueline Hinkel, Port Carbon, Joanne Loftus, Frackvilie, and Shirley Roundtree, Minersville; two sons, James Jr., Duncott, and Ronnie, Schuylkill Haven; 27 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
