    Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy E. Blyler and her husband, Elvin, Spring Glen, and Linda M. Morgan and her husband, Ivan, Lewisberry; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leroy Kissinger, Loyalton; and two sisters, Anna Wenrich, Spring Glen, and Ruth Smeltz, Millersburg.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with the Rev. Raymond Holland officiating, assisted by the Rev. Gerald Frey. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Sacramento.     She had been a former employee at Newberry's, Mount Carmel and was last employed at Maurer's Dairy, Mount Carmel until her retirement in 1968.
    She was a member of Grace Evangelical, Lutheran Church and the Eastern Star, both of Mount Carmel.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer A., on March 2, 1991; a; brother, Kermit Haas, on Dec. 23, 1997.

    Joan E. (Klinger) Barnes, 86, of Mount Joy, died peacefully, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at WellSpan York Hospital. She was the widow of Wallace Glenn Barnes. Born in Mount Carmel, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Fern (Haas) Klinger. Joan was a graduate of the former Polyclinic Nursing School, Harrisburg, class of 1957. She had worked for the Fairfax County School System and Inova Fairfax Hospital, both of Fairfax VA. Her hobbies included canvas and tole painting, drawing, singing, playing the piano, reading, gardening, sewing, knitting, and refinishing antique furniture. She was a faithful member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Mount Joy.
    Surviving are two sons, Robin S. Barnes of Alexandria, VA, Jeffrey S. Barnes of Mount Joy; a daughter Elizabeth, wife of Brian Courtright, Wrightsville; three grandsons, one granddaughter and her husband.
    Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 37 E. Main Street, Mount Joy, on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. There will be a public viewing at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service, (Please use Main Entrance at rear of church. Masks will be required.)     She was a member of the Valley View Church of God. Edna enjoyed planting and working with her flowers and going to dinner on Sunday's with Pastor Bo and the church ladies.
    She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
    Edna will be remembered for her loving and giving nature.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Gurney Klinger Sr. who passed away June 13, 1988, 2 half brothers, Mark Deeter and Clark Deeter, seven brothers, John, Earl, Raymond, Clarence, Larry, Lloyd and Leonard Deeter and two sisters, Gladys Bloch and Beatrice Troup.
    She is survived by daughter, Linda Darosh and her husband Edward of Tower City, PA; three sons, Gurney Klinger, Jr. and his wife Joy, Dennis Klinger and his wife Linda, and Dale Klinger and his wife Linda all of Valley View; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchild; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Grace Herb and Martha Bosco; as well as many nieces and nephews.
    Services were held at Valley View Church of God, 900 West Main St., Valley View on Friday, August 15, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Gerald Frey officiating.
    A viewing was held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the church.
    Burial was made in Church of God Cemetery, Valley View.
    Memorial contributions can be made to Valley View Church of God, 900 West Main St., Valley View, Pa 17983.
