    Born in Taylorsville, Ashland R.D. 1, Mr. Klinger was the son of the late Daniel and Bessie (Bush) Klinger. He moved to Florida 25 years ago from Pottsville. He was superintendent of Colitz Mining Co., Crystal River.
    Mr. Klinger was married to the former Irene Ossman. He was a member of Crystal River United Methodist Church. Mr. Klinger was past worshipful master of Inglis Masonic Lodge 324, Free and Accepted Masons, and past district deputy of that Masonic lodge. He was a member of Low 12 Club of Ocala and former Scoutmaster of Troop 307, Crystal River.
    Survivors include the widow; five children, Rick, Clemson, S.C; Patricia Ennis, Ashland; Carole Davilla, Corpus Christi, Texas; Diane Palovitz, Camp Hill; and Bonnie Latz, Nashua, N.H; one brother, Nelson, Gibraltar, Pa; five sisters, Melba Keysock, Saint Clair; Gladys Kehler, Easton; Fay Matalonas, Taylorsville; Peggy Clews, Schuylkill Haven; and Jackie Troutman, Taylorsville; 11 grandchildren; and six great­grandchildren.
    Inglis Masonic Lodge conducted Masonic rites at a service Tuesday, April 17. Service was held Wednesday, April 18, in Strickland Funeral Honve, Crystal River, with the Rev. Jasper 0. Witt, of Crystal River United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Fla.2

    Gene R. Klinger (Ace), 85, of East Biddle Street, Gordon, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, East Norwegian Street, Pottsville. Born in the village of Taylorsville, January 7, 1938, he was the son of Homer and Edith Reed Klinger. He was a graduate of the former Ashland High School, class of 1956. Following high school, he served in Germany with the First Battalion of the Seventh Infantry as a sharpshooter with the U.S. Army. His specialty was heavy weapons and Anti - Tank defenses. Gene was employed as a quality control supervisor with the former Goyne Pump Company, later ITT Industries, Ashland, until his retirement. In his retirement he drove school bus for Earl Richards Bussing of Gordon. He was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church, Gordon. Preceding him in death was his wife, Ida (Liz) McAndrew Klinger, passing November 25, 2001, brothers, Robert (Rocky), June 27, 2008 and James (Peace) 1992, sisters, Connie Hasker 1999, and Joyce Garipoli, 2002.

    Robert 'Rocky' Klinger, 52, of 510 McKnight St., Gordon, passed away Friday afternoon at his residence.
    Born in Fountain Springs, June 14, 1956, he was a son of the late Homer and Edith Reed Klinger.
    He was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School, class of 1974, and was employed as a materials handler for Gould's Pump Co., Ashland, until his retirement.
    He was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church, Gordon.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, James and his wife, Bonnie; sisters, Connie Hasker and Joyce Garipoli; and the Klinger children who perished in the Ashland January fire, nephew, Victor, and niece, Audrey Klinger, nephew Eric Hasker; and also a sister-in-law, Liz Klinger.
    Surviving are his wife, Debra Aponick Klinger, married Valentine's Day, 1991; daughters, Sheila Gradwell, Frackville, and Jenna GradwelL Gordon; a son, Daryl Klinger, Sanford, Fla; sisters, Mary Anne, wife of Russell Rickert, Caryville, Term., and Yvonne, wife of Tim Manley, Ashland; a brother, Gene Klinger, Gordon; grandsons, Jacob Klinger, Gordon, and Alex and Zack Klinger, Florida; and nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be private. Memorials may be made to Hillside SPCA, Pottsville, PA 17921. Richard W Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge.4,2

    Myerstown - Karl F. (Pap) Klinger, 88, of Myerstown, passed away at Town Center in Myerstown on Monday, February 14, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Mrs. Betty Klinger (Swope). Karl was born in Gerardville, PA on March 3, 1933 to the late Earl and Grace Klinger. Karl served in the Army during the Korean War conflict. He worked for Grace Mines in Morgantown, Millards Quarry in Annville, and Ebenezer Elementary School. Karl was a member of Faith Baptist Church serving as an usher. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
    Surviving in addition to his wife are stepsons, Donald Johnson (Nicole) and Ronald Johnson, step daughter-in-law Jill Johnson; grandchildren Jason, Kyle, Cody, Josh, Jordan, Leah, and Sydney; great grandchildren Madyson, Kennedy, Wesley and Carson; children Debbie, Danny, and Dennis. Karl is predeceased by daughter SueEllen Klinger, stepsons Ricky Johnson and Jerry Johnson.
    Visitation will be held at Rohland's Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, PA on Saturday, February 26th from 12 to 12:30 pm with service to immediately follow visitation.7,4
