• Helen Irene Bixler married Homer R. Morgan, son of David Oscar Morgan and Frances Susanna Boyer, in 1935.^1,3

  Mrs. Helen Irene Morgan, 55, wife of Homer R. Morgan, of RD1 Hegins, died Monday in Good Samaritan Hospital. She was admitted Sunday.
  Mrs. Morgan was born in Hegins Township Aug. 28, 1918, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mabel Morgan Bixler. She was of the Protestant faith. .
  Surviving, in addition to her husband, are these sons and daughters, Homer Jr. , and William, of Valley View; John, of Tower City; Dale, of Hegins; Patsy, wife of Frank Neumeister, of RD Ashland; Carol, wife of Charles Deitrich, of Valley View; Dennis, of Gordon; Shirley, wife of Charles Wolfe, of RD1 Hegins; Thomas, at home; 26 grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Alvena Smeltz of RD Elizabethville and Mrs. Jean Deibert, of Valley View; two brothers, Marlin Bixler of Valley View and Herman Bixler of RD2 Chambersburg. Several children preceded their mother in death.
  Services will be held Thursday, afternoon from St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. In the absence of the pastor, Rev. Leland Keener, Rev. Gordon Oplinger, of Williamsport, a former pastor of St. Andrew's will officiate. Interment will be in St. Andrew's United Methodist Cemetery, Valley View. Buffington Funeral Home of Valley View is in charge.
