    Austin D. Rothermel, 74, of Hummelstown RD2, Dauphin County, died Thursday, at 3 :15 p.m. at his home. He had been in ill health four months.
    Born Oct. 2, 1894, he was a son of the lateManassis and Ka tie (Kissinger) Rothermel. Prior to retiring, he had been employed at the Hershey Estates. Mr. Rothermel was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown.
    His first wife, the former Fronie Wolfgang, died 1n 1941.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Cartie Lark; a daughter, Marie, wife of Bryant Wiest, Klingersotwn; two step sons, Charles Wolfgang, Hershey; Ervin Wolfgang, Hummelstown RD2; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren ; two sisters. Mrs. Ira Hoffman, Herndon RD; Mrs Blanche Fetter, Harrisburg.
    Funeral Monday afternoon from St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown with burial in the adjoining church cemetery, and Rev. Robert Johnson, his pastor, of Klingersotwn, officiating. Lawrence E. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown RD, has charge.

    HERNDON -- Florence May Rothermel, 91, of Herndon. RD1 , died at 3 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 1992, at Mountain View Manor, Shamokin RD1, where she had been, a guest since November. She had been in ill health since October.
    Born Sept. 2, 1900, in Rebuck, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rosa (Kehres) Schwalm. She was married to Allen S. Rothermel, who died in 1966.
    Mrs. Rothermel was educated in Jordon Township schools.
    She was a homemaker.
    She was a member of Himmels Lutheran Church, Rebuck, and a former member of Idella Rebecca Lodge 58, Dornsife RD1.
    She is survived by a daughter, Anna Landis of Herndon RD1; three grandchildren; two great-grandsons; a sister, Mabel Schwalm of Herndon RD1; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by a son, Roy, in 1925; two sisters, Katie Schwalm and Lizzie Rebuck; and a brother, Nathan Schwalm.
    The funeral will be conducted at 11 a. m. Thursday at Himmel's Church, Rebuck, by the Rev. Dr. John Conz. Burial will be in Himmel's Cemetery, Rebuck.
    Visitors may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
    Contributions in her memory may be made to Himmel's Church Memorial Fund, Rebuck 17867.
    Arrangements were made by the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown RD1.

    A.S. Rothermel, Of Herndon RD, Fatally Stricken
    Allen S. Rothermel, 70, a lifelong resident of Jordan Township, Herndon R.D., died suddenly Monday at Spring Glen, Lykens Township. He had gone for a load of coal at Valley View and had stopped along the aide of the road to make repairs to his truck when stricken. He was pronounced dead by Dr M. L. Harring of Valley View, and Dauphin County Coroner Dr. S. E. Herrold released the body to the Lawrence 'E. Rothermel funeral home Klingerstown.
    Mr.. Rothermel, a retired farmer, was a member of Himmers United Church of Christ, Rebuck. He was a member of the Klingerstown Fire Compay and as a board member of the Gratz Fair Association.
    Son of the late Monroe and Elizabeth Schmeltz Rothermel, he was born in Herndon R.D. 1, September 10, 1895. He is survived by his wife, Florence Mae Schwalm Rothermel, and one daughter, Anna, wife of William R. Landis of Herndon R.D. 1; two grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Naldy Leitzel of Gratz.
    Funeral services, will be held Thursday at 2 p:'m. from the Lawrence E. Rothermel funeral home, Klingerstown R.D., with burial in the Himmel Church Cemetery at Rebuck. Rev. Jacob M. Singer of Herndon, his pastor, will officiate.
    Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home Wednesday evening.
