    KLINGERSTOWN -- C. Jay Phillips, 95, formerly of Klingerstown, died yesterday morning in the Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg, where he lived since August 1982.
    Born in Urban, March 30, 1889, he was a son of the late Elias and Sallie Geise Phillips. His wife, the former Ida M. Rothermel, died April 10.
    Mr Phillips was a retired livestock dealer. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown.
    He is survived by a son, Lee W. of Elizabethville; a daughter, Mrs. George Wolfgang of Herndon RD1; eight grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Miss Katie of Herndon RD1.
    The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown, by the Rev. Merlin Sjoberg. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
    Friends may call in the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown RD1, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

    Ida M. Phillips, 94, formerly of Klingerstown, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday in Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg, where she had been a guest since August 1982.
    Mrs. Phillips was born in the Herndon area, Oct. 4, 1889, a daughter of the late Lazarus and Emma Bush Rothermel.
    She was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown.
    She was married to Jay Phillips on May 28, 1917, at Red Cross.
    Surviving, in addition to her husband, who is also a guest at Susquehanna Lutheran Village, are a son, Lee W., Elizabethville; a daughter, Corrine, wife of George Wolfgang, Herndon area; eight grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; a sister, Minnie Bixler, Frackville.
    Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown. The Rev. Merlin Sjoberg will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown, is in charge of arrangements.

    Shamokin Street Man Dies After Illness of 10 Weeks' Duration
    James G. Hall, 68, of 1018 North Shamokin Street, died at the family residence on Saturday evening at 7:30, from complications which followed an illness of 10 weeks.
    Mr. Hall was born in Wllkes-Barre, August 4, 1873. He was a son of James and Mary (Roughsedge) Hall, and came to Shamokin 26 years ago. For a number of years he worked as a loomfixer at the Eagle mill, but when that operation suspended, secured part time work with Shamokin Borough.
    Forty-five years ago Mr. Hall was married to Miss Mary Champion, of Dover, N. J and his widow and the following children survive: Mrs. Helen Whitmer, Mrs. Marian Robins, Robert, Herbert, Charles and Joseph, all of Shamokin. There are 13 srandchildren.
    The funeral will be held from the home at Shamokin and Packer Streets, on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00. Services will be in charge of Rev. J. E. A. Bucke, pastor of Lincoln Street Methodist Church. Burial will be in Odd Fellows' Cemetery.
