    Services were held Nov. 13 from Zion (Klinger's) Lutheran Church, Erdman, RD Lykens, with the Rev. Merlin Sjoberg of Klingerstown officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Arthur R. Buffington Funeral

    Samuel Ray Klinger, 53, of 523 Walnut St., Wiconisco, died Monday at the Veterans Hospital in Lebanon. He was a former post master of Wiconisco and for merly was with the Harrisburg Police Force.
    He was born in Wiconisco, a son of the late, Samuel and Eleanor Edwards Klinger. He was a member of Wiconisco Baptist Church and Lykens American Legion Post 124. He was a veteran of World War II.
    Surviving are his widow, the former Flora Bevans; daughters Madoline, at home; Linda, wife of Charles Wertz, Elizabethville; sons, Russell and Douglas, at home; sisters, Mary, [wife] of Roy Machamer, of Harrisburg and Ethel, wife of Donald Hunter, Tennessee;, a brother, Carl of Harrisburg and one grandchild.
    Services will be held Friday morning at the Schaffstall and Schultz Funeral Home, Lykens , with the Rev. Robert E. Burns, Evangelical Congregational Church, Wiconisco, officiating. Entombment will be in Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco.

    During his career he was employed by RCA, Georgia Pacific, CNA Insurance and Holiday Inn. He was president of Century Investment, Camp Hill. He also was self-employed as Henry Sharp and Associates.
    Sharp was a past member of the Ontelaunee Township Republican Committee and was a former justice of the peace for two terms. He was active in the Berks County Republican Party.
    Sharp was a former chancellor commander of the Knights of Pythias and a past member of the Mingus Ring as a Magician. As a young man he also had a dance band as Don Langford and his trio and a 12-piece orchestra, and was an emcee in Vaudeville in New Jersey.
    Sharp was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 1952. He was a former branch president, councilman, and the first bishop in the Reading Ward and was instrumental in the building of their first chapel.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Henry, husband of Cynthia (Haines) Sharp, Sinking Spring, and a stepdaughter, Nicole Kalbach, Pottsboro.
    Also surviving are grandchildren, Gretchen Bonte, Shannon Dillman, Alison Walker, Seth Sharp, Sutton Sharp and Tiffany Laster, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
    He was predeceased by a sister, Katherine Eyler; a stepsister, Esther Thren; a great-granddaughter, Samantha Bonte; a stepson-in-law, Carl Kalbach; and a grandson, Corey Kalbach.
    Henry loved baseball and the Phillies. He also loved birds and animals. Before he moved to Texas, he loved to talk to Jack Holcomb on the radio. He considered him a great friend.
    Services will be Friday, April 1, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3344 Reading Crest Ave., Muhlenberg Park. Visiting with family, 9 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Bishop Wade Anundson. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Tuckerton.

    William Klinger was born 16 Feb 1926. He and Eleanor May Powell were married 11 Dec 1946. Eleanor dies 18 Jul 1960. Bill, who had been working as the New York Shipyard in Gloucester City, NJ had gained some fame after he fixed a major problem and was offered a better job with AMF Beaird, Inc. in Shreveport, LA. So in September of 1967 he moved his family to Louisiana. He eventually met and married Doris Gilbert. He died 17 Jul 1973 at the Willis Knighton Hospital in Shreveport. His funeral was from St James Episcopal Church. He was buried at Forest Park Cemetery West in Shreveport. He was honored with graveside Masonic rites.
