    William G. Hendricks
    William G. Hendricks, husband of Janet Adams Hendricks, 19 Mifflin St., Pine Grove, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1982, in Pottsville's Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 47.
    Born in Pageton, W. Va, he was a son of William and Mildred Hamm Hendricks, and had worked as a nursing assistant at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pine Grove and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
    In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by sons William G. Hendricks II and Shawn D. Hendricks, both at home; and brothers Donald Hendricks, Tennessee; and Harry Hendricks, Florida.

    Janet M. Hendricks, 90, of Keefer Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at home.
    Born on November 11, 1933 in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lucia Mease Adams.
    She was a 1952 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School.
    Janet was a seamstress and worked for Canoe Mfg. and retired from Wrights.
    She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove. She had been a Den Leader for the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and was a member of the Hawk Mountain Council. She loved making floral arrangements, working on numerous artistic projects, watching dancing with the stars and spending time with her grandchildren.
    Preceding her in death were her husband, William Hendricks; two brothers, Stanley and Eugene Adams; and a sister, Esther Adams.
    Surviving are two sons, William II and wife Margie Hendricks, Shawn and wife Melinda Hendricks, both of Pine Grove; 7 grandchildren, Seagey Renninger, Cassidy, Billy, Jeffrey, Rose, Elijah, and Joseph Hendricks; a great granddaughter, Aurora Stock; favorite nephew, Brock and wife Tara Adams of Richland; two nieces, Terri Crystal and Sheila Adams, both of Sarasota, FL.
    Graveside Services and interment will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery with SALM John Ziegler officiating.
    In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to Hillside SPCA, P. O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901 in her memory.

    Henry F. “Butch” Sharp, Jr., 79, died August 30, 2022 in his South Heidelberg Township residence, surrounded by his loving family.
    He was the loving husband of Cynthia J. (Haines) Sharp, with whom he shared 33 years of marriage.
    Born January 29, 1943, in Camden, NJ, he was a son of the late Henry Franklin Sharp, Sr. and Doris Ethel (Klinger) Sharp.
    Henry grew up in South Temple and attended Muhlenberg High School. He graduated from Schuylkill Valley High School in 1960. He then went on to earn a business degree at McCann School of Business.
    He was employed his entire career in production; having worked for Goodman Vending, Bortz Chocolate, F&M Hat Co., C.A. Bernheiser, Inc. and Threshold, where he retired from in 2006.
    Henry was voted outstanding magician’s assistant in the Eastern United States for his work with Enrico the Magnificent.
    He enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies, NASCAR, and listening to the Beatles.
    Henry supported his daughters in gymnastics, coached his sons in Conrad Weiser Little League and enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s recitals, plays and sporting events.
    Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his five children: Gretchen S. (Sharp), wife of John W. Bonte of Temple; Shannon M. (Sharp), wife of Allen B. Dillman of Bern Township; Alison S. (Sharp), wife of Kevin M. Walker of Muhlenberg Township; Seth A., husband of Jazmin N. (Ford) Sharp of South Heidelberg Township; and Sutton C. Sharp of South Heidelberg Township.
    Other survivors include his seven grandchildren: Jordan and Devynne Bonte, Alex, husband of Hayley Dillman, Brian Dillman, Brianna and Taylor Walker, and Jase Henry Sharp; and one great granddaughter, Ava Walker.
    Henry was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Samantha Bonte.
    Services will be held Wednesday, September 7th at 10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3344 Reading Crest Ave., Muhlenberg Township. A viewing will be held from 8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Sinking Spring Cemetery.
    In addition to flowers, contributions may be made to: Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508 and/or Helping Harvest, 117 Morgan Drive, Reading, PA 19608.
