    Samuel M. Willard, 86, formerly of Harrisburg and Grantville, passed away March 3, 2016, at his home. He was born January 5, 1930, in Lykens to Allen and Mabel (Rothermal) Williard. He married Betty Lingle Willard on November 27, 1952. Sam was a retired manager of Fulton Bank and formerly worked for Metropolitan Life, Lingle Sunoco, and Hershey Estates. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
    He is survived by his wife, and his son, Wynn Alan (husband of Patricia) Willard of St. Petersburg, Fla. He has three grandsons, Marshall Wynn of Nashville, Tenn., Sheridan Samuel of Boston, Mass., and Ashton Alan of St. Petersburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Ann Willard; and a sister, Shirley Paponetti.
    Sam was a skilled horticulturist with newspapers showcasing his handiwork at Menno Haven Village and his former mountain residence in Harrisburg. Over his lifetime, he was a member of Zion, Christ, and Shells Evangelical Lutheran churches. He was a 50-year member of the Masons and a Son of the American Revolution. He was truly a good man, to be missed by all.
    A memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Menno Haven at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016, with Chaplain Adam Leeper officiating. Interment will be private. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, will be handling the arrangements.

    She graduated from the Berrysburg High School in 1952 and was employed first at Troutman Brothers and then Wehry Meats.
    She was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church and a past member of the Idella Rebekah Lodge #58 of Dornsife
    Viola is survived by two sons Dale L., husband of Carol Klinger, of Gratz; David S., husband of Barbara Klinger, of Lykens; 3 grandchildren, Chad Kissinger, Adam Klinger and Ashlee Deibert and her husband Richie, 6 great grandchildren, Kayla Kissinger, Iain Klinger, Emerson Klinger, Lindsey Deibert, Emily Deibert, and Drake Deibert.
    She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Harold Klinger in 2009 and two siblings, Fern Bonawitz and Vernon Dockey.

    SUNBURY — Rosie Leitzel Houdeshell, 86, of Sunbury, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011, at Manor Care, Sun- bury.
    She was born July 12, 1924, in Red Cross, a daughter of the late Charles and Sallie (Schrader) Lentz.
    Rosie formerly was employed by the Regal Shirt Co., Millersburg, and later at Spruce Manufacturing and Champ Hats in Sunbury. She also worked as a cook at the Herndon Fire Company and the Iron Skillet and Custard Cup, Shamokin Dam.
    She was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church, Sunbury.
    Rosie loved to cook and while at Manor Care helped with the baking every Friday and at its bake and crafts sales. She collected many recipes and was compiling a book with them for some of the nurses at Manor Care. During her life, you never left her home hungry and without getting a “goodie bag.” She also enjoyed cards, playing bingo, search and word books and listening to the Danville radio station. She enjoyed eating the home-cooking her daughter and granddaughter brought to her at Manor Care.
    She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Lenig, of Sunbury; one son, Russell Ledden, of Sunbury; five grandchildren, Jim, John and David Burgess, Alvin Lenig Jr. and Carol Cullen; 10 great-grandchildren, Allena, Brittany, Shannon, Heather, Jerrid, Blake, Christopher and James Burgess Jr. and Taylor and Nicole Cullen; one great-great-grand- child, Payton Lee Burgess; nine stepchildren; and several stepgrandchilden.
    She was preceded in death by three husbands, Ralph Leitzel, Russell Ledden Sr. and Ernest Houdeshell Sr; one grandson, Douglas Burgess; one great-grandchild, Coen Burgess; seven stepsisters; and four stepbrothers.
    Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. J. Douglas Hall- man officiating.
    Burial will be in Rebuck Wesleyan Church Cemetery, Rebuck.
    In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosie’s memory may be made to Stonington Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
