    Mrs. Kreischer, who is presently employed at Harrisburg Hospital as a licensed practical nurse, received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion at the Frankfort College in May, 1962, and the Bachelor of Religious Education degree from Eastern Pilgrim College in Allentown in 1954.
    She was licensed as a practical nurse in 1960 after graduation from the Indianapolis School of Practical Nursing.
    Mrs. Kreischer is the former Daisy Leitzel, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Burl Leitzel, Trevorton.3

    Born at Hebe, March 21, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Burl and Florence (Deppen) Leitzel.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kreischer. in 1948.
    Mrs. Kreischer was a graduate of Trevorton High School and United Wesleyan College, Allentown. She was a retired licensed practical nurse.
    She was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church, Sunbury.
    She is survived by two brothers, Leonard of Marion, Ind., and Forrest of Millersburg.
    She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph.
    The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St.. Sunbury, by the Rev. David H. Pickett. Burial will be in Wesleyan Cemetery, Rebuck.
    Visitors may call from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.

    John Kreischer, 40, Home For Holiday, Dies Unexpectedly
    John Albert Kreischer, Sunbury native, of 503 Reed street, Philadelphia, died suddenly at 12:45 p. m. Wednesday in Community Hospital dispensary of coronary thrombosis, 15 minutes after he was brought to the hospital. He was stricken ill in the store of Sue Surgent at 1024 Line street. He had been suffering from heart trouble for some time and last year had a serious attack and was hospitalized in Philadelphia. He was 40 years of age.
    Mr. Kreischer, who was employed as an accounting secretary with the Bisbee Linseed Oil Company in Philadelphia, had arrived in Sunbury at 4 a. m. Wednesday to spend Thanksgiving weekend with his mother, Mrs. Olive M. Kreischer at her home, 939 Reagan street. About 11:30 o'clock Wednesday he left the house and said he was going to the stores, in the neighborhood. It was soon after he entered Miss Surgent's store that he was stricken. She called the hospital and asked for a doctor. Dr. George A. Deitrick, Sr., was about to leave the hospital for the store, when Miss Surgent called back and said Mr. Kreischer's condition was getting worse and she would bring him in immediately in her car. They arrived at the hospital at 12:30 p. m. and in 15 minutes he was dead. The physician said death was due to coronary thrombosis.
    Mr. Kreischer had lived in Philadelphia for the past 13 years and had been associated with the Bisbee Company since that time. He was born in Sunbury February 2, 1909 the son of Mrs. Olive M. Kriescher and the late William Kreischer. He went through the Sunbury schools and was graduated from Sunbury High School in 1929. Thereafter he worked at several plants in Sunbury including the Ralph Shipman Company and also at several neighborhood stores. He married the former Emma Leitzel of Dalmatia. While living in Sunbury he was a member of Tau Phi Sigma fraternity.
    Surviving besides his mother and wife are a brother, Charles Kreischer, 1202 Race street, three sisters, Mrs. Goldie Callen, Philadelphia; Mrs. Ruth Benner, 716 North Seventh street, Mrs. Florence Fecker, 246 Spruce street, and a half brother, Leslie Price, Northumberland.

    PENDLETON — Leonard W. Leitzel, 90, passed away at 9:10 a.m., Friday in Rawlins House, Pendleton.
    He was born in Ashland, Penn. to the late Burl and Florence (Geppen) Leitzel.
    Leonard graduated from Allentown Bible Institute. Forty years of his life were devoted to the cause of Wesleyan World Missions. Eighteen of these years were spent in Suriname and Guyana, South America. Then for eighteen years Rev. Leitzel served as Director of Promotion for the Department of World Missions home office then located in Marion. During that time he led tour groups to visit the mission fields of the Wesleyan Church in Zambia, Swaziland, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mexico, Japan, the Philippines and the West Indies. He modeled missions as a life of honor, privilege and joy, reflected by his children in their active participation in missions. He was a member of College Wesleyan Church.
    He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Pauline M. Leitzel; children, Judith A. (Bob) Ferryman, Fortville, James L. (Diane) Leitzel, Pine Grove, Penn., Rebecca L. Tomblin, Pendleton, John B. (Debbie) Leitzel, Cicero, David A. (Carol) Leitzel, Hamilton; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren; brother, Forrest (Thelma) Leitzel, Millersburg, Penn.
    Leonard was preceded in death by brother, Ralph Leitzel; and sister, Daisy Kreischer.
    A Memorial Celebration Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in College Wesleyan Church, Marion. Interment will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
    Visitation is from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church. His family welcomes visitors.
    Memorial contributions may be directed to Global Partners (Wesleyan World Missions).
    Arrangements are being handled by Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, 1341 N. Baldwin Avenue, Marion.3

    Funeral Friday For Ralph Leitzel
    Funeral services will be held Friday for Ralph Daniel Leitzel, 47, of Oak Park, Northumberland, RD 1, who died Tuesday in Sunbury Community Hospital after he was stricken ill at his home.
    Born in Ashland, June 19, 1920, he was a son of the late Burlington and Florence Deppen Leitzel, and resided in Herndon a number of years before moving to the Northumberland area last June.
    He was a truck driver for the Mandata Poultry Co. before ill health forced his retirement.
    He was a member of the Herndon Fire Company and the Mandata American Legion Post.
    Survivors include his wife the former Rosie Lentz, a daughter Mrs. Sharon Burgess, at home; four grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Daisy Kreischer, Harrisburg, two brothers Rev. Leonard Leitzel, Frankfurt, Ind., and Forrest Leitzel, Millersburg.
    The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday from the Holiness Church, Rebuck. Rev. Elmer J. Hocking will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the Wirt Funeral Home, Sunbury Thursday evening.

    Forrest A. Leitzel, 91, of Millersburg, passed away on July 28, 2014, peacefully at his home. He was born in Ashland on August 14, 1922, a son of the late Florence (Deppen) Leitzel and the late Burlington Leitzel. Forrest worked as a barber in Herndon and later in Millersburg. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hunters Station, and the American Legion, Millersburg.
    Forrest is survived by his loving spouse Thelma (Walborn) Leitzel, daughter, Fairlee and husband Robert Sechler of Millersburg, several nieces and nephews; and devoted friend and caretaker, Jeff Alleman. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Leonard Leitzel, and a sister, Daisy Kreicher.
    Private graveside services held on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hunters Station.

    Leah loved music. She studied at Susquehanna University and taught piano and organ for many years.
    In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Dale and his wife Sandy, and Lynn R. and his wife Michelle, all of Herndon; also four grandchildren.
    Friends and family may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, where the funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Sue Marie Baskette officiating.
    Burial will be in St. Paul's Church Cemetery, Urban.
