    Samuel E. Klinger Dies This Morning
    Samuel E. Klinger, 64, a Coleman Park caretaker for the last year, died this morning at his home near the park's ball diamond. He had been ill for some time.
    A native of Pine Grove, he resided in that community most of his life. He followed the occupation of a carpenter before tak ing up duties at the local park, He was the son of the late Aaron and Catherine (Brensinger) Klinger. He was a member of the Church of God, Suedberg.
    Surviving is his wife, the former Celia Daubert, and one son, Elvin, Pine Grove. Another son, Clark, died 19 years ago.
    Also surviving are three sis ters, Mrs. Agnes Mann, Lebanon; Mrs. Carrie Aungst, Brigerville, and Mrs. Calvin Neal, Pine Grove, and two brothers, Charles and Edward, both of Pine Grove.

    Roy W. Klinger died on May 2 in his home in Pine Grove RD1, at the age of 83.
    Born in Pine Grove Township, Mr. Klinger was a son of the late Isaac and Louise Kunkleman Klinger. He was a retired ore miner.
    His wife, the former Mamie Glore, died in March, 1968. He was preceded in death also by a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Miller, who died in August, 1973.
    Survivors include four sons: Charles, Lebanon; Howard, Pine Grove RD1; Richard, Friedensburg; and James, Bellevue, Washington; two daughters: Ivy, wife of Roy Lash, and Lily, wife of Eugene Shimer, both of Lebanon; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
    His funeral was held on Monday afternoon from the Snyder Funeral Home, followed by burial in the Suedberg Church of God Cemetery. The Rev. Gerald Marzolf conducted the services.

The excitement of the game was believed to have been responsible for the heart attack that caused his death. Four of his sons were in the game. The game was halted when it was believed the man was dead.

    HARRY W. UMBENHAUER
    Harry W. Umbenhauer, 55, residing near Suedberg along Route 443, died at his home of miners' asthma and other complications following a lingering illness last Monday aft ernoon. He became critically ill last. Sunday and the members of the family were called together, but he lingered till Monday afternoon.
    He was a miner by occupation but when the effects of mining undermined his health he took to farming. He was identified with Jacob's Lutheran Church.
    To survive besides his wife, Beulah, nee Felty, there are twelve [eleven] children: Mrs. John Minnich, of Pine Grove R. D; Mrs. Elmer Clements, Pine Grove R. D; Mrs. William Reinhart, Pine Grove; Arlene, at home; Clarence and Luther at Pine Grove R. D; Ralph, Pine Grove; Randolph, Forrest, Dale and Guy, at home. There are also nine grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. James Smith and Mrs. Harry Smith, Pine Grove.
    The funeral was held from his late home this afternoon, with further services in Jacob's Church and interment in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Director Snyder was in charge. Rev. Harry S. Dollman officiated.

    Mrs. Smith was born June 17, 1888 in Pine Grove, daughter of the late Andrew and Carrie Umbenhauer. She was a retired seamstress. She was a member of Jacob's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.
    Her husband, Harry Smith, died in 1956.
    Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Myda Hepler, Ashland; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

D. 1, Russell Klinger of Harrisburg, Luther Klinger of Pine Grove R. D., and Wayne of Akron; two sisters, Mary Schlarb of Reading, and Martha Ambler, of York; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
    Military funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon from H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Pine Grove. Interment in Church of God Cemetery at Suedberg. The Rev. Gerald Marzolf, of Suedberg, will officiate at services.

    Clarence F. Klinger, 58, of 124 Walnut St., Ashland, died Tuesday afternoon in Pottsville Hospital, where he was admitted on August 13.
    Born in Suedberg, on March 23, 1896, he was a son of Wilson and the late Mrs. Klinger. He lived in Ashland most of his life and was employed as a clerk in the Capitol building, Harrisburg. He was a former milk dealer in Ashland, and was a member of the Evangelical Church, the American Legion and Woodmen of the World.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Romain Paul; two sons, Ralph, Camp Hill, and Clarence Jr., Harrisburg; one brother, Ralph, Suedberg, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Schlarb, Reading, and Mrs. Martha Ambler, Reading.
    Funeral will be Friday afternoon from the Kull Funeral Home, Ashland. The Rev. R. T. Bailey will conduct the funeral service. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs.
