    MILLERSBURG - Blanche M. Fetter, 94, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at Susquehanna Lutheran Village in Millersburg.
    She was born in Klingerstown, the daughter of the late Manassas and Katie Kissinger Rothermel.
    She was a retired cosmetologist from the former Pomroy's department store. She enjoyed quilting and had a lifelong love of the British Isles.
    She was the widow of Harry N. Fetter and was also preceded in death by two sons, Lamar and Joseph, two daughters, Joan Smith and Carole Simonson, two brothers, Autin and Edmond, and a sister, Florence Hoffman.
    Surviving are a daughter, Evelyn Oates of Wheeling, WV; son, Harry W. and his wife, Tina of Millersburg; daughter, Barbara Smith of Mechanicsburg; 16 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
    Services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2004 at 11:00 a.m., at the Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc., Millersburg. Burial will be in the Middletown Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, at the funeral home.

    Arlene Mary Lucas, age 77, of 32 E Market Street, Gratz, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the Friendly Nursing Home, Pitman.
    She was born in Spring Glen, on August 20, 1930, a daughter of the late Ernest Milton and Gertie Sophia (Wiest) Kissinger.
    She was a seamstress for the former Philmark Manufacturing Company of Gratz; retired as the manager of VFW Post 2385, Gratz; was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 2385, Gratz; and a member of St. Matthew's (Coleman's) Church, Spring Glen.
    Her husband Elwood E Lucas, died in 1998.
    She is survived by a daughter, Brenda K., wife of Mark Long of Gratz; a son, Dennis L., husband of Patricia Feger of Pitman; two grandsons, Kirk A., husband of Becky Wenrich of Spring Glen and Shaun A. Feger of Pitman; a granddaughter. Alison J. Long of Gratz; a brother, Leroy Kissinger of Loyalton; and by three sisters, Edith Klinger of Millersburg, Anna Wenrich of Spring Glen, and Ruth Smeltz of Lykens Twp. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard and Elwood Kissinger.
    Memorial services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, October 24th, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating. The family will receive guests from 10-11 a.m., on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Matthew's (Coleman's) Cemetery, P.O. Box 71, Spring Glen, PA 17978.

    Ruth enjoyed traveling and crafts.
    Her husband Lester D Smeltz, passed away in 1989. She was also preceded in death by a grandson Jeremy Smeltz; by two sisters Edith Klinger and Arlene Lucas; and by three brothers Leroy Kissinger, Willard Kissinger, and Elwood Kissinger.
    She is survived by a son Bruce L Smeltz of Sacramento; two daughters Debra A Smucker and her husband Art of Newville, PA, Diane M Wolfgang and her husband Randy of Lykens; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister Anna Wenrich of Spring Glen; and several nieces and nephews.
