    ELLIS C. WENRICH
    Ellis Clarence Wenrich, life-long resident of Hubley Township, died at his home on Saturday, following, a lingering illness. He was born on January 31, 1903, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ch42rles S. Wenrich.
    He was a member of the Menton Tribe, Order of Red Men of Spring Glen.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Bowman, and the following children: Charles, who was inducted into the Army last week, at present at New Cumberland; Anna Belle, Whelan, Nancy and Robert, all at home. Also these brothers and sister: George and Mrs. Ray Hatter, both of Valley View; Mrs. Harry Straub, Lykens, R. D; Charles, of Harrisburg; Mrs. Allen Klinger and Leslie, of Ashland, R. D., and Allen, serving in the Army, recently returned from the European theatre, now stationed at Camp Pickett, Va.
    Funeral from the home of Mrs. Agnes Bowman, Spring Glen, Wednesday afternoon, with further services in St. Paul's Church, Sacramento, with Dr. D. I. Sultzbach officiating. Burial in the Union Cemetery. Buffington is the funeral director.

    MRS. MARY M. WENRICH
    Mrs. Mary M. Wenrich, 48, widow of Ellis Wenrich, died at her home in Spring Glen on Wednesday.
    Mrs. Wenrich was a daughter of Mrs. Agnes Carl Bowman and the late Charles Bowman, and was born in Lykens Township. She was a member of Coleman's Reformed Church, Lykens Township.
    Survivors are two daughters and three sons, Annabelle, and Mrs. Charles Laudenslager, both of Spring Glen; Whalen of Spring Glen Star Route; Charles, of Hegins R. D., and Robert, at home; her mother, of Spring Glen, and four grandchildren.
    Also surviving are a brother, Charles Bowman of Valley View, and two sisters, Mrs. Eva Daniel and Mrs. Meda Dunleavy, both of Spring Glen.
    Services were held from the Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View, Saturday afternoon, with further services in St. Paul's Church, at Sacramento. Rev. Burlington Latsha, of Valley View, officiated, and interment was made in the church cemetery.

    Verna M. Smeltz, 88, of Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg, formerly of RD1 Hegins, died Sunday at the village.
    Born in Hubley Township, May 10, 1906, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Annie Saltzer Wagner.
    She was a member of Zion's Lutheran Church, Erdman.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1976; a son, Lester, in 1989; a great-grandson.
    Surviving are a son, Dr. Leroy, RD1 Hegins; two brothers, Allen Wagner, Lancaster, and Wayne Wagner, Hyde Park, N.Y; two sisters, Ruth Fetter, Rebuck, and Elva Christine, Harrisburg; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m; Tuesday at Zion's Lutheran (Klinger) Church, Erdman. The Rev. Patricia Rothermel will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Sacramento. There will be no calling hours Monday. Robert Miller Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
