    SUNBURY - Roy W. Coleman, 456 N. Ninth St., died today on his 56th birthday in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he had been admitted Saturday.
    Mr. Coleman had been in ill health for approximately one year.
    Born in Klingerstown Aug. 22, 1922, he was a son of Stella Strohecker Coleman of Sunbury, who survives, and the late Charles Coleman who died in September 1977.
    A graduate of Sunbury High School in 1941, he was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy Seabees in the Atlantic and South Pacific theatres.
    An optician by trade, he worked for the Philadelphia Optical Co. in Sunbury for 15 years.
    He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Class 22 of the Sunday school; Lodge 22, F&AM, Sunbury; Bloomsburg Consistory; Irem Temple Shrine, Wilkes-Barre; Sunbury Shrine Club; Tall Cedars of Lebanon of Sunbury; and was active in the Tall Cedars Grove Association.
    In addition, he was a member and past commander of the American Legion Post 201, Sunbury; member and past commander of the VFW, Sunbury; 17th district, American Legion, sergeant at arms; life member of the Cooties; and life member of the Goodwill Hose Company, Sunbury.
    In addition to his mother, he is survived by four chijdren, Mrs. Dian Diehl of Sunbury, Mrs. Sherry Costanzo of Torrence, Calif, Mrs. Marialice Strate of Greece and Sgt. Wayne A. Coleman of Newport News, Va; five grandchildren; and one brother, Paul Coleman of Danville.
    The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Zweier Funeral Home, Sunbury, by the Rev. John Conz, assisted by the Rev. Herbert Lohr, pastor of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Sunbury. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
    Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday evening where Lodge 22 will conduct a Masonic service at 9.
    Post 201, American Legion, Sunbury, will conduct graveside military rites on Friday.

    Robert N. "Shorty" Strohecker, 81, of Old Zionsville, our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away surrounded by his family on July 27, 2010 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in Klingerstown, he was a son of the late Albert and Vinnie (Klinger) Strohecker. He was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Congregational Church, Emmaus and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed as a truck mechanic at Mrs. Smith's Frozen Pies and D & D Collision, both of Pottstown. His smile and kindness will be missed by all who knew him.
    Survivors: His wife of the past 56 years, Norma F.     She was born October 8, 1929 to Albert and Vinnie (Klinger) Strochecker. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, after being married for 64 years.
    She was a homemaker and beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother who enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. "Gram" will always be remembered for her kind heart and caring nature. She attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Elizabethville, PA where was a dedicated servant for the past 60 years.
    Lucille is survived by four children, Norman L Maurer of Klingerstown, Barbra (Stephen) Scott of Herndon, Yvonne (Robin) Troutman of Elizabethville, and Kelly (Jerry) Hawkins of Savannah, GA, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grand children, six sisters Fae Wilkinson, Mabel Thomas, Patricia Kembel, Romaine Clough, Brenda Scheib, Glenda Klinger, and five brothers, Albert Strohecker Jr, Gene Strohecker, Dean Strohecker, Ken Strohecker, and David Strohecker.
    She was preceded in death by her son, Don Maurer, two sisters Arlene Brown and Alma Bordner, and four brothers Marlin Klinger, Robert Strohecker, Lawrence Strohecker, and Mark Strohecker.
    Memorial service celebrating her life will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Elizabethville, Pa, June 12th at 3pm.3

    SPRING MILLS -- Henry "Dale" Strohecker, 86, of Spring Mills, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Mount Nittany Medical Center with his wife and daughters by his side.
    He was born July 8, 1928, in Klingerstown, a son of the late William and Hilda (Williams) Strohecker. On July 26, 1947, Henry Strohecker he married the former Lorene Bowman who survives.
    Dale, known as "Trucker" to his friends, worked in a coal mine and shoe factory before he began driving truck for 40 years for Hanover Foods and H.F. Campbell before retiring in 1995.
    He was a member of the Millheim Lions Club and Spring Mills Fire Company. Dale enjoyed hunting and going to Pickles Country Store for his morning coffee.
    Family time was what he valued most.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Ernie Klinger, of Klingerstown, and Joyce and Gary Stine, of Millheim; one sister, June Kahler; two brothers, Paul and Raymond; five granddaughters, Jody, Jamie, Nichole, Stephanie and Jan; 10 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Joelle, Samantha, Aidan, Eli, Cassidy, Seth, Kyle, Kendra and Taylor; and nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Rue and Leonard.
    A visitation for Dale will held from 10 a.m. to noon today, with a Lions Club service at 11:45, at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, Millheim, followed by the funeral at noon with Pastor Jeff Mugridge officiating.
    Dale will be laid to rest in the Centre County Memorial Park, State College.

Paul was a retired feeder truck driver for UPS and was awarded the Circle of Honor with more than 25 years and three million miles of safe driving under his belt.     MILTON -- Willard S. "Sneezy" Snyder, 86, of Milton, died on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at the Kramm Health Care Center, Milton.
    Willard was born on Oct. 15, 1926, in Jordan Township and was the son of the late Felix E. and Mary E. (Strohecker) Snyder.
    He was married to the former Margaret E. "Peg" Kurtz, who survives, and they would have celebrated 35 years of marriage Dec. 10.
    Willard had worked at Chef Boy-Ar-Dee for 35 years and retired on Nov. 1, 1988. After retirement, he continued to work on small engines.
    He was a Christian and enjoyed traveling and being with his family.
    In addition to his wife, Peg, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger D. and Carol Snyder, of White Deer, and Stanley R. and Diane Snyder, of McAlisterville; one daughter and son-in-law, Sally A. and Ronald Morehart, of Watsontown; seven grandchildren, Wayne Snyder, Kimberly Murray, Jeremy Snyder, Amy Craig, Stacy Morehart, Christopher Snyder and Jason Snyder; and 10 great-grandchildren.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 28 years, Daisy (Hans) Snyder, and one sister, Dorothy Klinger.
    There will be a public viewing from noon to 1 Wednesday at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St, Milton, where the funeral will be conducted at 1 by the Rev. Jerry L. Caswell.
    Burial will follow in McEwensville Cemetery.
    The family will provide the flowers, and memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 613 Baltimore Drive, Suite 3, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
