    DALMATIA — Marjorie E. (Klock) Klinger, 93, of Lewisburg, formerly of Dalmatia, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015.
    She was born Aug. 6, 1921, a daughter of the late Jay and Abbie (Zartman) Klock. She was married to Kay K. Klinger, who preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1973.
    Marjorie retired from the former Puritan Fashions in Millersburg and the Line Mountain Elementary School in Dalmatia. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Dalmatia and the Hickory Corners Firehouse Auxiliary.
    Marjorie loved spending time with her family, animals, crocheting, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and reading.
    She is survived by four children and their spouses, Bonnie and Ronald Derk, of Lewisburg, Nancy and Ronald Heim and Keith Klinger, all of Dalmatia, and Deborah Klinger, of Millersburg; five grandchildren, Gregory Derk, Michael Derk, Sean Derk, Heather Kieffer and Ryan Heim; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Bernice Bobb, of Northumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
    In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Hilda Harris; and five brothers, Felix, Carl, Boyd, Mark, and Russell Klock.
    There will be a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Millersburg, followed by the funeral at 11.
    Burial will follow in Stone Valley Cemetery, Hickory Corners.

    Jacob E. Smeltz, 1205 Susquehanna Ave., Sunbury, a native of Lykens Township, died Wednesday at Allentown General Hospital, where he had been a patient since Monday.
    He and his wife, the former Ida M. Klinger, were visiting a daughter, Mrs. Betty M. Hoffman, Emmaus, when he was stricken and hospialized.
    He was a son of the late Jacob abd Ida (Swineford) Smeltz and was a former coal miner. He resided in Sunbury since 1943.
    Surviving, in addition to his wife and daughter, Mrs. Hoffman, are another daughter, Mrs. Norma Strohecker, Old Zionsville; three sons, Guy A., New Columbia; Robert, East Greenville; and Dean, Parkerford; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandhild; three sisters, Mrs. Dolly Underkoffler, Millersburg; Mrs. Sula Koppenhaver, Camp Hill; and Mrs. Ida Williams, Herndon; and two brothers, Clarence, Rebuck; and Paul, Pillow.
    Services will be held Sunday afternoon in Sunbury with internment in God's Missonary Cemetery, Lykens Township.

    Elva enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, reading and spending time with her family.

Yeich and her husband, Ray, Mechanicsburg, Diane Mausser and her husband, Harry, Hegins, and Rose Frantz and her husband, Joe, Erdman; a daughter-in-law, Janet Klinger, Gratz; 11 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy Harner, Spring Glen; a sister, Betty Klinger, Barry Township; nieces and nephews.
    Memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial will be made in Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Cemetery, Erdman.     In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and racing go carts. He was also a member of the Harrisburg Builder's Association.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Joy Shadle and a brother, Leon Klinger, Jr.
    Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Jean M. Leffler Klinger; a daughter, Tammy Neiswender and her husband David, Gratz; a son, Michael Klinger and his wife Paula, Duncannon; three sisters, Dorothy Yeich, Mechanicsburg; Diane Mausser, Hegins and Rose Frantz, Erdman; two brothers, James Klinger, Harrisburg and Rodney Klinger, Sacramento; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews.
    Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Novemebr 11th at 11:30 am from Sweitzers Cemetery, Berrysburg with Rev. Mark Rothermel officiating.     HARRISBURG - James Lee Klinger, age 77, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. He was born on May 26, 1945 in Sacramento, Pennsylvania the son of the late Leon Klinger and Elva (Harner) Klinger. James was married to Penny (Laudenslager) Klinger for 58 years; they had great times vacationing and dancing over the years. James retired after 36 years as Logistics Manager with New Cumberland Army Depot, Defense Distribution, Fairview, PA where he was recognized with numerous promotions and awards. He was a devoted and loving father and pap. He was dependable, had a strong work ethic, and a great sense of humor. Some of his favorite pastimes were cooking for the family and gardening. James enjoyed working with his hands, so he designed and completed small and large scale home improvement projects, including building a second story to his home. The past year, he enjoyed caring for animals, especially the many deer that would visit him in his back yard. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. James is survived by his wife, Penny; daughter, Sherri and her husband John Hebda; three sisters, Dottie Yeich, Diane Mausser, Rose Frantz; brother, Rodney Klinger; great-grandson, Cameron Messner. He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Elva Klinger; two brothers, Gene Klinger and Leon Klinger, Jr; sister, Joy Shadle; and two grandsons, Brent and Brandon Messner. Memorial services will be private and held at the family's convenience. Arrangements are being cared for by the staff of Minnich Funeral.     Marlin L Klinger, age 90, of 2651 West Main Street, Spring Glen, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family.
    He was born on Monday, January 24, 1921, in Klingerstown a son of the late Daniel Klinger and Vinnie Klinger.
    Marlin worked in the coal industry for Legal Coal Company, Kocher Coal Company, and retired from Mercury Coal Comapny in 1987.
    He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Erdman; where he served as a council member, delegate to the Lower Susquehanna Synod, property management committee, and a member of the cemetery association for many years.
    He was a charter member of F & AM Valley Lodge 797, Valley View. He received his 50 year pin in June of 2010 from the Valley Lodge. He was also a 50 year member of the Harrisburg Consistory and a former member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Millersburg Forest #125. He was a member of the Sacramento Fire Company and the Woodmen of the World, Pitman.
    Marlin enjoyed walking his two to three miles every day as long as he was able. He also enjoyed gardening, traveling, hunting, and spending time with his family.
    He was preceded in death by a son, Marlin L Klinger, Jr; a granddaughter, Kathryn E Hepler; five half brothers and a half sister.
    He is survived by his wife Arabel (Straub) Klinger, to whom he was married for 68 years.
    He is also survived by two sons Dennis E Klinger and his wife Charlotte of Millersburg, and Tim S Klinger and his wife Nadine of Spring Glen; two daughters Carole Hepler of Spring Glen, and Cindy Wedde and her husband Gary of Elysburg; eight grandsons Matthew Klinger of Oneonta, AL, Doug Klinger and his wife Cherie of Dallas, PA, Chris Hepler and his wife Wanda of Kernersville, NC, James Hepler of Durham, NC, Brandon Wedde and his wife Melinda of Pittsburgh, Brandon Klinger and his wife Kelly of Mountain Top, Gaven Klinger of Spring Glen, Colby Klinger of Spring Glen; two granddaughters Tracy Gervasio and her husband Pete of Harrisburg, Amber Mallonee and her husband Dave of Philadelphia; eight great grandchildren; a half brother; and four half sisters.
    Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Church, Erdman, on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Jan Mills officiating.
    A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m., to 8:00 p.m., on Monday at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View; with Masonic Services at 7 p.m.
    A viewing will also be held at Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Church on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
    Burial will be made in Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Cemetery, Erdman.
