    JORDAN FARMER SUICIDE VICTIM
Daughter Discovers Body Of Dorsey Bordner, 68, In Living Room of Home
Body of Dorsey Allison Bordner, 68. a farmer, was found by a daughter Monday night in his home at Herndon R. D. 1, Jordan Township, with a gunshot wound hi the head.
Northumberland County Coroner W. J. Harris, Shamokin. who examined the body, said the wound was self-inflicted above the right ear. A note indicating that despondency was the reason for the act was found near the body.
The coroner, who released the body to the Rothermel funeral home in Hemdon, set the time of death at about 6 o'clock.
A daughter, Mrs. Edna Dobson. Henndon R. D. 1, discovered the body about 9 o'clock in the living room of the Bordner home, according to officers Warren Thoma and James Lewis of the Shamokin State Police barracks.
The body was found lying face down and near it was a .22 calibre rifle.
The widower and the father of 14 children, lived alone on the 14-acre farm. His daughter delivered groceries to him every week. It was for this reason she called at the home last night, police said.
