Julie A. Kahler, 47, of Middletown entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at York Memorial Hospital, York. She was born September 28, 1971 in Norwich, CT and was the loving daughter of Randy G. and Judy C. "Cookie" (Visloskie) Schaffner. Julie was a 1989 graduate of Line Mountain High School in Herndon, PA. Julie was a devoted daughter, wife and mother and her greatest joy was taking care of her family. There will forever be a void in the hearts of her loved ones. She enjoyed many things such as gardening, decorating her house for Christmas, traveling, and watching Penn State and Middletown Blue Raider sports. Her greatest joy was cheering on her daughter as her biggest fan in softball, soccer, and volleyball. In addition to her parents, Julie is survived by her devoted husband of 22 years, Chris Kahler; her loving daughter, Chloe Kahler of Middletown; brother, Michael Schaffner (Alexis); paternal grandmother, Esther (Bellis) Schaffner; uncles, Steve Schaffner (Robin), Keith Schaffner (Kathy), Kim Schaffner; aunt, Barbara Buchanan (James); nieces and nephews, Gavin, Evan and Evelyn Schaffner and Sarah and Justin Lesher; in-laws, Paul and June Kahler; brothers-in-law, Michael Kahler (Rhoda), Timothy Kahler; sister-in-law, Angela Lesher (Jeremy). A tribute to Julie's life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA with the Rev. Britt Strohecker officiating. There will be a time of visitation from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday. ELIZABETHVILLE- Loretta "Jean" Schaffner, age 91, Mifflin Twp, passed away June 27, 2019, at the Sunbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 4, 1928 in Trevorton, daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Boyer) Rothermel. She was a member of Peace UCC, Berrysburg. She was a retired nursing assistant and had worked for the former Manor @ Susquehanna Village. She also had worked in the past for the former Muskin Shoe Co and Dornsife Hotel. She was a member of the American Legion and Moose in Millersburg. She enjoyed solitaire, bingo and gardening. She is survived by daughter, Judy L .( Ronald Sr.) Schultz; Brothers, Wayne (Karen) "Butch" Rothermel, Lamar (Evelyn) Rothermel, Kenneth (Millie) Rothermel, and Daniel "Nick" (Nancy) Rothermel; Sisters, Fern (Lester) Donmoyer and Mildred Fulkroad; Step-son, James (Karen) Snyder; Grandchildren, Ronald Schultz Jr., Amanda (Ike) Daniels, and Christina Campbell; Step-Grandchildren, Katie (Adrian) Bordner, Kennedy and Dakota Snyder; Great Grandchildren, Tasha (Lucas), Taylor, Bethany, Aubrey, Cameron, Ikey and Shelby; 2 Step-Great Grandchildren, Nathaniel and Griffin; 2 Great Great Grandchildren, Vera and Vivienne. ELIZABETHVILLE- Judy L. Schultz, age 79, of Elizabethville, died May 30, 2025, at her home. She was born on February 20, 1946 in Washington Twp, PA the daughter of [the late] Merle and Loretta "Jean" (Rothermel) Schaffner. She was also preceded in death by a Sister-in-law Cynthia Phillips, In-laws Palmer and Gladys Schultz, Step-Father William S. Snyder, Step-Sister Sharon Oxenrider.
Judy was married to Ronald P. Schultz, Sr. for 58 years. (He passed on April 5, 2023).
She is survived by her children, Ronald P. Schultz Jr., Elizabethville, Christina J. Campbell, Herndon, Amanda L. (Isaiah) Daniels, Elizabethville; Grandchildren, Tasha Schultz (Lucas Wolfe), Taylor Schultz (Trevor Collier), Bethany Campbell (David Purcell), Aubrey Campbell, Cameron Klinger, Isaiah Daniels III, and Shelby Daniels; 3 Great Grandchildren, Vera, Vivienne and Graham Wolfe; Nephews, Shane Phillips (Heather) and Shawn Phillips (Angie), Elizabethville, Step-Brother-in-law Ronald Oxenrider (daughter: Katie Bordner), Step-Brother James (Karen) Snyder (children: Kennedy and Dakota).
Judy was a member of Peace United Church of Christ.
She had worked for over 20 years as a Client Service Representative for Pennsylvania County Domestic Relations. She also had worked in the past for the former LINKO Catering, Elizabethville.
Judy enjoyed reading, playing cards, and going on various trips.
There will be a visitation held at her church 150 N. Chestnut St, Berrysburg, on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 9-10 AM. Services at 10 AM with Rev. Su Rider officiating. Burial will follow the services at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.

ELIZABETHVILLE - Ronald P. Schultz Sr., age 81, of Mifflin Township, died April 5, 2023, at his homestead. He was born on December 18, 1941 in Danville, PA the son of [the late] Palmer and Gladys (Straub) Schultz.
He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Berrysburg.
Ronald had worked in the past for the former TRW plant and retired from Harman Stove.
He had memberships with the Gratz VFW Post #2385 and Woodmen of the World, and was a Life Member of the Berrysburg Fire Company.
Ronald enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing, visiting Benezette to see the Elk, driving and working on tractors, watching baseball and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy L. (Schaffner) Schultz; Their children, Ronald P. Schultz Jr., Elizabethville, Christina J. Campbell, Gratz, Amanda L. (Isaiah) Daniels, Elizabethville; Grandchildren, Tasha Schultz (Lucas Wolfe), Taylor Schultz (Trevor Collier), Bethany Campbell, Aubrey Campbell, Cameron Klinger, Isaiah Daniels III, and Shelby Daniels. 3 Great Grandchildren, Vera , Vivienne and Graham Wolfe. Nephews, Shane (Heather) and Shawn (Angie) Phillips, Elizabethville.
He was also preceded in death by his sister Cynthia Phillips, and In-laws, Merle L. Schaffner and Loretta "Jean" Schaffner (Companion, Williams S. Snyder).
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 9:30-11 AM. Services will start at 11:00 AM with Rev. Sue Rider officiating. Burial will follow the services at St. John's Evangelical Church Cemetery, Elizabethville.
