    On Sunday, Jan. 7th about 11.30 A. M., Wm. P. Umholtz of Gratz passed away after a lingering illness. He was born July 4, 1866 and was baptized the same year and confirmed in youth as a member of the Reformed church at Gratz. He was married Jan. 12, 1889 to Katie M. Thomas by the Rev. W. G. Engle. This union was blessed with 9 children 6 sons and 3 daughters, 2 sons and 3 daughters are living. His age was 57 years, 7 months and 3 days. All the services were held at the house by his pastor, the Rev. C. P. Wehr: John Miller, undertaker.

    VALLEY VIEW. Oct. 29. -- William S. Klinger died October 23, 1925, and was buried in the United Brethren Cemetery on Tuesday, October 27, 1925. He is survived by his widow, Susan, (nee Schadel), and four children: Gurney of Branchdale; Norman of Fearnot; William of Spring Glen, and Vertie, wife of Stanford Daniels of Tremont; also two brothers, two sisters, 31 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mr. Klinger was aged 71 years, 2 months and 24 days. The Rev. H. M. Mentzer of this place had charge of the services. Mr. Klinger was sickly for almost nine years, and bedfast for six months.

    AGED VALLEY VIEW LADY BURIED FRIDAY
    VALLEY VIEW, Mar. 1. -- Funeral services for Mrs. William S. Klinger, nee Susanna Schadel, were held at her home and the United Brethran Church, Friday afternoon, the Rev. H. M. Mentzer officiating.
    Mrs. Klinger was aged 71 years, 10 months and 13 days and died February 22 at 1:20 P. M. after a lingering illness of several years, the past three months of which she was bedfast suffering paralysis and complications.
    She was born at Fountain, Pa., and on Nov. 12, 1876, married Wm. S. inger who preceeded her in death Oct. 23, 1925.
    Surviving are the following children: Gurney Klinger of Branchdale; Norman Klinger of this place; William I. Klinger of Spring Glen, and Vertie, (Mrs. Stanford Daniel) of Tremont. Three brothers, Frank Schadel, Elias Schadel and Harrison Schadel also survive. Burial was made in Valley View cemetery.
    Those who attended the funeral were: Mr. Levi Klinger and son Harrison, Mrs. Oscar Klinger, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Klinger and daughter Marian of Shamokin.
