    MORRIS SWALM
    Morris Swalm, of 513 N. Twenty Second st., Lebanon, died at 10 o'clock Wednesday evening at the residence of his son, George, with whom he had resided for the past six years. He was formerly of Suedburg, and had been ill for the past three years. He was 75 and a retired coal miner. He was a member of the Suedberg Church of God and the Men's Bible Class of Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church, Lebanon.
    To survive he leaves two sons, George, with whom he resided, and Ray, Suedburg; three daughters. Mrs. Reuben Newcomer, of Maple Hill, Shenandoah; Mrs. Fred Deichert and Mrs. Charles Ditzler, both of Suedburg. There are 10 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and a sister, Mrs. Harry Schucker, of Lebanon.
    Funeral Monday afternoon from the Rohland mineral Parlors in Lebanon, and burial in Suedburg Cemetery.

    Born in Pine Grove Township, Mr. Schwalm was a retired employe of Bethlehem Steel Company. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Cleona; the Men's Bible Class; an associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police and member of the Retired Silver Gray Camping Club, Lancaster.
    Survivors include his widow, Edna; a son, Harold, of Cleona; three sisters: Mrs. Louella Newcomer of Schuylkill Haven, Mrs. Kate Deichert of RD1, Pine Grove, and Mrs. Minerva Ditzler of Pine Grove; a brother, Ray, of Lebanon; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

    Surviving are 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and Clayton Zimmerman.
    Services will be held at 1 : 30 p.m. Friday from H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove. The Rev. John D. Urban will officiate. Interment will be in Church of God Cemetery.

    Mrs. Katie Deichert, RD1, Pine Grove, died in Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, on October 8 at the age of 70.
    Born in Pine Grove, Mrs. Deichert was a daughter of the late Morris and Sallie Klinger Schwalm. Her husband, Fred Deichert, died on December 30, 1968.
    Survivors include two sons: Howard, of Kensington, Md., and Lloyd of Newcastle, Ohio; one daughter, Ivy, wife of Lester Hauer, Fredericksburg; one brother, Ray Schwalm, Lebanon; two sisters: Mrs. Minerva Ditzler, Pine Grove, and Mrs. Luella Newcomer, Schuylkill Haven. A brother, George, preceded her in death. Six grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren also survive.
    Her funeral was held this afternoon, October 11, from the Snyder Funeral Home, followed by burial in the Suedberg Church of God Cemetery. The Rev. Gerald Marzolf and the Rev. Robert C. Benner conducted the services.

    Clarence G. Klinger, 91, of Windsor Twp., died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in Kutztown Manor. He was the husband of Sandra L. (Deisher) Klinger. They were married December 18, 1965 and celebrated 51 years of marriage.
    Born in Pine Grove, he was the son of the late Paul and Annie E. (Reinhart) Klinger. Clarence was a graduate of Auburn High School. He was US Army Air Force veteran of World War II. At the age of 16, Clarence obtained his barber license. Throughout his life, he was a barber, built the Dutch Motel, worked for Prudential Insurance and became a real estate broker. Clarence was a real estate developer in Hamburg and was a partner with Ray Yerger in real estate investments and Laundromats. He served on the board of Hamilton Bank and Corestates Bank. Clarence was a member of Vaux Lodge No. 406 F&AM, Hamburg, and Rajah Shrine. He was an avid golfer.
    Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Bruce Klinger, and his wife Patricia, Atlanta, GA, Brian Klinger, and his wife Ming Zu, Mays Landing, NJ; three grandchildren: Kara Klinger Cheever wife of Matt, Keenan M. Klinger husband of Glacy, and Kory B. Klinger; and two great-grandchildren: Anna and Alex Cheever. Clarence is also survived by his sister: Anna E. (Klinger) Adam, Windsor Twp., and sister-in-law: Alma A. (Phillips) Klinger, Windsor Twp. He was predeceased by two brothers: Guy G. Klinger, and Eugene G. Klinger; and sister-in-law: Kathleen (Illig) Klinger.
    Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg (Off Street Parking in Rear). Burial will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. A Vaux Masonic Lodge Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service.
