    Edward H. Bashore, 80, of Bethel Township died Sunday, December 28, 2008, of natural causes in the Reading Hospital, where he was a patient since December 5th. He was the husband of the late Evelyn A. Bashore, who died April 16, 2007. Born April 3, 1928, in Bethel Township, he was the son of Herbert and Emma (Klahr) Bashore. He was a graduate of Bethel High School. He was a member of Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, Bethel. He was a member of, and was the former fire chief of, the Bethel Union Fire Co. from 1954-1974. He also was an avid hunter. He was employed by Bresslers Garage, Bethel, and later operated his own business, Bashore Garage, from 19641974. He last worked as a shop supervisor for Windsor Service, Reading, from 1974/1993. Survivors include one son, Edward L. Bashore, husband of Donna J. of Bethel Township; three daughters, Audrey A. (Bashore) Brown of Bethel, Charlene M. (Bashore) Muckel of Mt. Aetna, Wenda M. (Bashore) Dinatale of Fredericksburg; two brothers, George Bashore of Bernville, Martin Bashore of Myerstown; two sisters, Martha (Bashore) Davidson of Seabring, Fla., AnnaMae (Bashore) Fisher of Rehrersburg; six grandchildren, Heather Papp, Angie Bomberger, Earl Wolf III, Mario Dinatale, Cory Muckel, Nino Dinatale; four greatgrandchildren, Michael, Shelly, Hunter, and Charles. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Shelly Emerich.
    Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at 11 a.m. from Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, 31 Rehrersburg Road, Bethel. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made the Bethel Union Fire Co., 9675 Old 22, Bethel, PA 19507. The Hill Funeral Home, Rehrersburg, is in charge of arrangements.

Warner Mease, with whom he would have celebrated a 54th wedding anniversary on May 8. Born March 26, 1927, in Pine Grove, he was the son of the late Earl and Jenny Klinger Mease. He retired from Quaker Alloy in Myerstown, where he had worked as a crane operator. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Fredericksburg and the Fredericksburg Fire Co. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons Rodney E. Mease of Mechanicsburg and Roger E., husband of Jerilynn Mease of Harrisburg; a sister, Lucretta Miller of Harrisburg; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. His funeral will be held at noon Thursday at the Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, 48 W. Market St., Jonestown.     Alma A. Klinger, 85, of Windsor Twp., passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, in her residence.
    She was the wife of Eugene G. Klinger, who died February 25, 2010.
    Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Annie (Stein) Phillips.
    Alma was a 1951 graduate of Hamburg High School.
    She first worked as a secretary at Birch Hill Foundry.
    Alma was a Justice of the Peace for Windsor Township. She was a bus driver for thirty-two years for the Berks County Intermediate Unit.
    Alma was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church,
    Centre Twp. She was a bowler for sixty years and really had a passion for it. Alma also enjoyed going to Schell's every Wednesday with her sisters-in-law; breakfast with friends; and playing dice and pinochle on Sundays with her sister and friends.
    Alma is survived by two sons, Lonnie E. Klinger, Windsor Twp., and Steven E. Klinger, widower of Debra A. (Boltz) Klinger, Greenwich Twp; five grandchildren: Kasea, Karly, Stacy, Shanna and Brenna; and five great-grandchildren: Leila, Marissa, Kassidy, Yasmeen and Sami. She is also survived by a sister, Ruth Shollenberger, a resident of Maidencreek Place; and several nieces and nephews.
    Alma was predeceased by a son, Chris E. Klinger; and three brothers: Martin, Stanley and Paul Phillips.
    Services will be held on Monday at 12:00 noon from Salem (Belleman's) Church, 3540 Belleman's Church Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541. Burial will follow in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp. A viewing will be held on Sunday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. from Leibensperger Funeral Homes Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport, and at the church Monday 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
