    She was born in Hegins, a daughter of the late Frank and Katie Reed Dietrich. She was a nurse and had been on the staff of Pottsville Hospital before retiring. She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins and the Senior Citizens of Valley View.
    Surviving are these children, Roger Romberger, Mrs. Chester Morgan, both of Hegins; Alice Romberger, Columbus, O; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
    Services will be held Friday morning from Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins with Rev. Guy Grube officiating. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Hegins. The Miller Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.

    Roger L. Romberger, 81, of 933 E. Main St., Hegins, passed away Monday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
    He was born in Hegins, Feb. 21, 1931, a son of the late Charles Romberger and Eva Dietrich Romberger.
    He was a 1948 graduate of the former Hegins Township High School.
    He served for 22 years in the Air Force.
    He also drove a school bus for many years for Tri-Valley school district.
    He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins.
    He was also a member of VFW Post 8237 and American Legion Post 575, both of Valley View, and the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens.
    Roger enjoyed reading and traveling.
    His wife, Kathryn E. Romberger, passed away in 1989. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Alice Romberger.
    He is survived by two sons, Michael R. Romberger and his wife, Samantha, York, and Richard L. Romberger and his wife, Linda, Lakeland, Ga; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a companion, Lena Shadel, Hegins; a sister, Jean Morgan, Hegins; and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins, with the Rev. Warren Egebo officiating. A viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at the church. Interment with military honors will be made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Memorial contributions can be made to Friedens Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 375, Hegins, PA 17938. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Joyce H. (Rickert) Zimmerman, who served in the Women's Marine Corps Reserve in World War II and was an active den mother in cub scouting activities, died yesterday at her home, 2343 South St., Allentown. She was 36.
    The wife of Richard E. Zimmerman, she was a native of Allentown and the daughter of Harry M. and Winifred (Spanutius) Rickert.
    Prior to World War II, Mrs. Zimmerman was an X-ray techni cian at Allentown Hospital. During the war she was a corporal in the Marine Corps Women's Reserve and did personnel work.
    She was a den mother of Cub Pack 2 of St. Andrew's UCC. She was a member of Hope UCC.
    Surviving with her husband and parents are two sons, Craig and Kenneth, and a daughter, Jan, all at home; a sister, Dorothy, wife of Alfred Redfield, Allentown; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Rickert, Catasauqua, and her maternal grandfather, Martin Mueller of Allentown.
