    Mrs. Maude May Maurer, age 56 years, wife of Guerney Maurer, died at her home at Hebe Friday.
    She was a daughter of Irvin and Elizabeth (Troutman) Wiest, and was a member of the Hebe Reformed Church.
    Survivors are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Lesher, of Pillow; a son, William Maurer, at home, and one grandchild.
    Funeral services were held from the residence at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning with further services in the Lutheran and Re formed , Church at Hebe. Rev. Jacob Singer, pastor of the Hern-don Reformed Charge, and Rev.i Charles Herman, pastor of' the Urban Lutheran Parish officiated. Interment was made in the Hebe Cemetery.

    Mrs. Nora A. Smeltz. 75. of Island Park, Sunbury, died unexpectedly Sunday evening at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Amman Harris. Cloverly Acres, Millersburg.
    Born in Jordan Township on June 10, 1893, the daughter of the late Irvin and Elizabeth Troutman Wiest, she was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ, Pillow, and a member of the Golden Age Club of Sunbury. Her husband, Charles E. Smeltz, preceded her in death 26 years ago.
    Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ammon R. Harris, Cloverly Acres. Millersburg; and Mrs. Forrest Wertz. Malta. Dalmatia RD; one grandchild, Carol D. Harris, Cloverly Acres, Millersburg; and a number of neices and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. from the United Church of Christ, Pillow, with her pastor, Rev. Arthur Roberts, officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery near Pillow.
    Friends and relatives are and asked to visit the Reed funeral home in Pillow on Thursday from 12 noon until the time of the funeral.
