    Born at RR 1 Klingerstown, she [was] a daughter of the late Albert and Mabel Rebuck Klinger.
    She attended Mahanoy Joint High School, RR 1 Herndon.
    She was a homemaker and was of the Lutheran faith.
    She was the widow of Fayne Klouser. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle Klinger and an infant sister; six brothers. Homer Klinger, Walter Klinger, Charles M. Klinger, Kenneth Klinger, George Klinger, and an infant brother.
    Surviving are three sisters, Katie Smeltz of RR 1 Herndon, Vinnie Klock of RR 1 Dornsife, and Betty Wehry of RR 1 Klingerstown; and nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were held Saturday, May 18 from the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, RR 1 Klingerstown, with the Rev. Glen B. Keidel, officiating. Burial was in St. Andrew's United Methodist Cemetery, Valley View.4

    — KLINGERSTOWN — Michael D. “Mike” Straub, 45, of Klingerstown, passed away peacefully with family and friends at his side on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at SUN Community Care Hospice Center in the Sunbury Community Hospital after a brave battle with cancer.
    He was born April 10, 1965, in Camp Hill, a son of Mary D. (Andrews) Straub, of Klingerstown, and the late Ronald E. Straub. On March 10, 2007, he married the former Audrey Snyder who survives.
    Mike was a 1983 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and recently received an associates degree from Triangle Tech where he took classes in the electrical field.
    He began working in 1988 at Pennsylvania House in Lewisburg as a Hyster mechanic and since 2004, owner and operator of Straub’s Repair Plus, Klingerstown.
    An avid member of Salem Church of Rough and Ready, he taught Sunday school and Bible school, was on the Consistory and served as a Deacon. He was in the middle of his six year term as a supervisor for Upper Mahantongo Township. Mike was a member of the Klingerstown Fire Company and the Erdman Sportsman Association.
    Mike enjoyed hunting, farming, and delivering coal on the side. He will be remembered for his love of children and will be missed by the kids who came to the shop and church.
    In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, David Michael Straub, of State College, and Stephen Michael Straub, of Klingerstown; his maternal grandmother, Edith Cooper, of Harrisburg; one great-aunt, Ethel Lenig, of Klingerstown; one sister, Lori Straub, of Camp Hill; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
    A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, 1133 Ridge Road, Klingerstown, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Salem Church of Rough and Ready, 11 Church Road, Klingerstown, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Mark Rothermel officiating.
    Interment will be in Salem Cemetery[.]
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made in Mike’s honor to the Michael D. Straub Memorial Fund, c/o Salem Church, 1128 Ridge Road, Klingerstown, PA 17941, or to SUN Home Health and Hospice P.O. Box 232, Northumberland, PA 17857.2
