Earl E. Lesher, 63, resident of Gratz, died Monday at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Evangelical Congregational Church of Berrysburg, and the Gratz Fire Co.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Lesher; a son, Marvin Lesher of Lykens RD; a daughter, Miss Dorothy Lesher, at home; three brothers, Charles and Paul, both of Lykens RD. and Harry of Millersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Lesher of Lykens RD and Mrs. Robert Paul or Valley View; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home at Berrysburg. The Rev. Charles Bean, his pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Evangelical United Brethren Church Cemetery at Berrysburg. Friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.' at the funeral home.

MALTA - Gladys M. Wertz, 79, of the Riverwoods Nursing Center, Lewisburg, formerly of Malta, died Wednesday in the center.
She had been co-owner of the former Wertz Appliance Store here and the Mahantongo Camp Grounds, was a former member and past worthy matron of Eastern Star Chapter 425 and a member of St. Luke United Church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband, Forrest G. Wertz.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hoover Funeral Home, Millersburg. Burial will be in St. Luke Cemetery here.
Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

MALTA - Forrest G. Wertz, 86, of 1 River Road, Lewisburg, formerly of Malta, died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born July 20, 1913, in Dalmatia, a son of the late Ralph and Elverna (Shaeffer) Wertz. He was married to the former Gladys Smeltz, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Wertz was the former owner of Wertz Appliance in Malta, and the Mahantango Camp Grounds. He was a' retired electrical, plumbing, and heating contractor.
He was a 50-year member of the Susquehanna Lodge 364 of the Free and Accepted Masons, and a 32- degree member of the Valley of Harrisburg Consistory. He was a member of St. Lukes Church where he was a former elder and councilman. Surviving is one niece, Carol Harris of Spain.
Visitors may call from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at Hoover Funeral Home Inc., 118 S. Market St., Millersburg. A Masonic service will be conducted at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. Burial will be in St. Lukes Church Cemetery, Malta. Contributions may be made to the St. Lukes Church, Dalmatia, Pa. 17017.

Marthella Mae (Swinehart) Stenger, 68, of Peters Township, Pa., died Feb. 2, 2003.
She dedicated her life to her family. "Marty" enjoyed spending time with animals, reading and gardening.
She is survived by her mother, Pauline M. Latsha of Millersburg, Pa; three daughters, Deborah A. (William) Barnhart of Parkersburg, Susan K. (Richard) Corbett of Butler, Pa., and Cynthia Jan Stenger of South Fayette, Pa; one son, Walter A. (Beth) Stenger Jr. of Peters Township; one sister, Karen R. Deutermann of Huntingdon Valley, Pa; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clinton L. Swinehart and her husband, Walter A. Stenger.
