Additionally, Polly's application for a marriage license with George D. Wiest, in March, 1901, indicates that she was not previously married.1,3,4

    Mrs. Polly M. Wiest, 76, of Philadelphia, formerly of the Klingerstown area, died Saturday at her home in Philadelphia. She was a daughter of the late Elias and Emma Shartel Erdman.
    The deceased was born in Klingerstown, June 15, 1881. About 1920. the family moved to Philadelphia, where she resided until her death. Her husband, George, preceded her in death five years ago.
    Surviving are two daughters, Florence, of New York City, and Emma, of Philadelphia; four grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. George Snyder, Shoemakersville, Mrs. William Reiner, Shamokin, and Mrs. George Bordner, Philadelphia.
    Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p. m. from the Rothermel funeral home, Klingerstown R. D., with burial in the Salem Lutheran and Reformed Church Cemetery. Remains may be viewed at the funeral home at the time of the funeral on Wednesday. A Philadelphia minister will officiate.

    GRATZ -- The funeral for Mrs. Annie L. Troutman, 75, Gratz, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Christ United Church of Christ Church, Leck Kill, by the Rev. Elden Ehrhart of Airville. Burial will be in St. John's Reformed Cemetery, Leck Kill.
    There will be no calling hours Wednesday evening. Visitors may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday in the church.
    Funeral arrangements were made by the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown RD1.
    Mrs. Troutman died Monday morning in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg, where she had been a patient since Aug. 23.
    Born in Leck Kill, April 2, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lizzie (Beissel) Fetter. She married Allen R. Troutman in 1930.
    Mrs. Troutman had been a retired food packer for the Kerr Potato Chip Co., Baltimore, Md., where she and her husband lived for 35 years until moving to Gratz in 1976.
    She was educated in the Leck Kill schools. She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ Church, Leek Kill; Tri-Valley Senior Citizens; Gratz Senior Citizens; Gratz Historical Society; and the American Association of Retired Persons.
    In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Noble of Baltimore; one daughter, Mrs. Elsie Kelly of Baltimore; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Millie Rebuck of Rebuck, Mrs. Jennie Tressler of Millersburg and Mrs. Lydia Boyer of Woodstrck, Va.
    She was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters.
