    Jean A. Lubold Lesher, 94, formerly of Pottstown and Gratz, passed away Friday at Green Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pitman. She had been a resident of Green Valley facility, the former Friendly Nursing Home, since 2010.
    Born in Ashland, Aug. 26, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Carrie Price Lubold.
    Jean attended school in the Ashland area and was employed as a factory worker at Ashland Factory and Muskin Shoe Factory and also worked at a factory in Pottstown.
    She was of the Lutheran faith and attended St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown. She enjoyed crocheting.
    Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. Lesher, who passed away Jan. 22, 2002; three siblings, Erma, Curt and Catherine; sisters-in-law, Minnie Kessler, Mary Lesher and Margaret Kessler; and two brothers-in-law, Marlin and Vernon Lesher.
    She is survived by four sisters-in-law, Pauline Herb, Jean Heim, Ruth Chubb and Anna Wiest; two brothers-in-law, Paul and Harry Lesher; nieces and nephews.

    Leroy S. "Bud" Heim, 88, of Pitman passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at The Manor at Susquehanna Village. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Jean (Lesher) Heim; the couple married March 6, 1943.
    Born Friday, November 2, 1923 in Pitman he was a son of the late Frank and Eva (Zerby) Heim. He was a retired farmer and was a director at the former Agway in Klingerstown.
    He was a member of Zion Evangelical Congregational Church and served on the cemetery board, the official church board and was a Sunday School teacher. He was a member and past officer of the Woodman of the World Camp 433 of Pitman, a county chairman for the ASCS, and served on the Election Board and Tri-Valley School Board. He was also a member of, the PA Farm Bureau, the county extension, the Mahantongo Fire Company and the Young Farmers Association.
    Leroy was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing guitar and harmonica. Upon retiring he took up woodworking and built many things for his family.
    Surviving are his wife Jean; three daughters, Charlotte Romaine Frey of New Bern, NC, Joan Rothermel and her husband Marlin of Greenbrier, Lois Ann Haigh and her husband Martin of Cresson; one son, Gary Heim and his wife Judy of Pitman; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one sister Kathryn Wetzel; and nieces and nephews
    He was preceded in death by a son, Leroy Dale Heim in 1948, four brothers, Alton, Harold, John, and Harry Heim and six sisters, Miriam Harring, Violet Wetzel, Ellen Houseal, Mary Weikel, Martha Willier, and Betty Kehler.
    Viewing will be held Friday August 24, 2012 from 9-11 AM at Zion E.C. Church Pitman PA where the funeral service will follow at 11 AM with Rev. Todd Wolfe officiating. The Woodmen Lodge will conduct their service at 10:50 AM. Interment will follow in Zion E.C. Cemetery, Pitman.

    She is survived by one brother, Bernell Graybill of Sunbury; two sisters, Violet Hope of Sunbury, and Jean Raker of Mifflinburg. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Emerson and Samuel, and by four sisters, Carrie Young, Gladys Blair, Mona Gottshall and Erna Rhodes.
    Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 309 Water St., Northumberland, followed by a funeral service at 11, with the Rev. Jonathan Albright officiating.
