    SUNBURY -- Mrs. Anna A. Klinger, 95, of the Gold Star Nursing Home, Danville, died last evening in the nursirig home where she lived, for the past five years. She was a former resident of Sunbury RD.
    She was born in Milton, Jan. 9. 1889.
    Her husband, Claude E. Klinger, died in 1969.
    Mrs. Klinger was a former member of the Albright United Methodist Church, Sunbury.
    She is survived by a son, Paul E. of Sunbury; two daughters. Mrs. Ruth Heath of Woodward and Mrs. Peggy Kitchen of Lakewood, Colo; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
    The funeral will be conducted, at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Ernest Korten Jr. Funeral Home, Sunbury, by the Rev. Leroy S. Heller, pastor of the Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, Sunbury. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
    Friends may call in the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.2

    SUNBURY -- Paul E. Klinger, 80, of 624 Catawissa Ave. died at 8:54 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, at his home.
    He was born on Oct. 31, 1919, in Sunbury, a son of the late Claude E. and Anna E. (Fisher) Klinger. He was married on March 7, 1943, to the former Annabelle M. Heintzelman.
    He graduated from .Sunbury High School in 1939.
    He served in the Army during World War II with the 938th Battalion, in France, Germany and Central Europe. His decorations and citations were, the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, American Defense Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five bronze stars and the World War II Victory Medal.
    Mr. Klinger had been a carpenter and worked for the Local Carpenter's Union. He enjoyed working part-time at Sunbury Monumental for the past 10 years.
    He was a life member of the East End Hose Company and a member of American Legion Post 201.
    He was an avid reader.
    Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette L. and Terry Lesher of Sunbury and Donna J. and Dan Burns of Lancaster; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger P. and Sue Klinger of North East, Md., and Barry W. and Bobbie Klinger of Campbell, Calif; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth Heath of Woodward and Peggy Kitchens of Lakewood, Colo.
    Visitors may call from 11 a.m. to . 1 p.m. Thursday at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home by the Rev. Charles Cole of Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church.
    Burial will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.

    She was born Jan. 1, 1916, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Claude and Anna (Fisher) Klinger. On March 25, 1937, she married Albert "Red" Heath, who preceded her in death on April 14, 2002.
    Ruth attended Sunbury High School and graduated from York School of Nursing.
    After nursing school, she was employed at York Hospital. She then began employment with Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, from where she retired as a nurse anesthetist.
    She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Woodward.
    Ruth is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Linda Lee Heath of the Villages, Fla; five grandchildren, Joanne Martin of New Holland, Dawn Heath of Yardly, Brian Heath of New Holland, Elizabeth Gohn of Dillsburg and Wade Heath Jr. of Dover; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Harriet Kitchen of Lakewood; and a longtime friend, Auther Bobb of Woodward.
    She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Heath, on Aug. 19, 2004, and one brother, Paul Klinger.
    There will be a viewing from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, Millheim, followed by the funeral at 3 with the Rev. Carol Price officiating.
    Burial will be in Woodward Cemetery.
    Memorials may be made in Ruth's memory to Woodward United Methodist Church, Woodward, PA 16882.

  • He married Mary Frances Lebo, daughter of Jonathan Lebo and Elizabeth Bechtel, in 1876.6,7
  • At the time of the 1880 Census, Samuel and Mary were living in Washington Township, Dauphin County, PA, where he was a sewing machine agent. They had 2 young children, Gertie J. (1) and William (1 month).8
  • In 1900, Samuel and his wife Mary were living in Port Royal, Juniata County, where he was a hotel keeper. They had been married about 17 years and had given birth to 6 children, 4 of whom were then living.6

    Sam. Blyler, former citizen of Elizabethville died at his home at his home in Progress, Monday Apr. 9th at the age of 77. Funeral services will be held two o'clock Friday [ ] afternoon at Paxtang Cemetery.
    His wife passed away early in March. Mr. Blyler taught school here and some of the township scnoois about 50 years ago.
    Later he sold sewing machines and then embarked in the hotel business and bought and sold hotel properties quite extensively in this county and in nearby counties.
