    Margaret (Klinger) Chubb, age 79, of Millersburg went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 25th, 2018 at the UPMC Pinnacle West Shore Hospital in Mechanicsburg.
    Margaret was the daughter of James Klinger and Margaret Miller of Lykens. She was the widow of the late James Chubb. She worked in the healthcare industry for 30 years before her retirement.
    Margaret is survived by a daughter Jean Eyster of Millersburg, a son James Reiner, Jr. of Williamstown, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by sisters Mary Lenker of Williamstown and Judith Klinger of Mechanicsburg, and a brother James Klinger of Newport. She was preceded in death by two sons, John Reiner and Donald "Mike" Ellenberger.
    There will be a graveside service for Margaret at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Halifax on Friday, June 1st at 1:00 pm.

  • In 1920, Roy, 10, was living as a "boarder" in the household of Walter A. Dietrich, along with Walter's daughter Ellen, and Maude E. Klinger, who apparently was Walter's housekeeper.3
  • Lloyd served in the military from 14 Mar 1929 unil 12 Jan 1947.6
  • In the 1940 Census, Lloyd is listed as a private serving as a technician in the Post Hospital at Fort McDowell Military Reservation in Sausalito Township, Marin County, CA. It also indicates that in 1935, Lloyd was residing in the Phillippines.7
  • In June 1950, Lloyd submitted an application for World War II Compensation in Pennsylvania because he was living in Pillow, PA, at the time he entered active service. At the time of the application, Lloyd was living at 1610 Sacramento Street, San Francisco, CA. The application states that Lloyd served the entire 50 months of US participation in WWII for the US Army in domestic service. It also notes that he was separated from active service on January 12, 1947 at Fort Sam Houston, in Texas. Army enlistment records indicate that Lloyd had enlisted in the Medical Branch of the US Army on October 5, 1940, at Fort McDowell, Angel Island, California, as a private first class. He was single at the time.5,8
