    Michael R. Pickup, 66, of Lykens, passed away Thursday night, February 27th at UPMC - Pinnacle, Harrisburg.
    Born in Lykens, February 13, 1954, a son of the late George "Bud" and Vera Hertzel Williams.
    Mike was a 1972 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School.
    He retired as Director of Operations from Thermo King Refrigeration, Scranton.
    Mike was a member of the Lykens United Methodist Church.
    He enjoyed traveling and always looked forward to trips across the country every summer. He was a fan of NASCAR, but above all his family meant the world to him. He will be forever missed.
    Surviving are his wife, Suzette Klinger Pickup; three children, Amanda Pickup-Shomper and her husband Corey, Berrysburg; Amber Pickup-Snyder and her husband Cody, Elizabethville and the apple of his eye, his best friend, Jayden Pickup, at home; one brother, Thomas Pickup and his wife Denise, Wiconisco; one sister, Charlene Morgan and her husband Woody, Tower City; four grandchildren, Harper and Macen Burget; Vaughn and Zayne Shomper; his father-in-law and his mother-in-law, Gurney and Joy Klinger, Valley View. Nieces and nephews.
    A Celebration of Mike's life will be held on Thursday, March 5th at 7:00 pm from the Lykens United Methodist Church, 527 N. Second Street, Lykens, with Rev. Lori Betsworth. A time of fellowship and light refreshments will follow in the church social hall. Donations in Mike's name can be made to Autism Speaks at www.autismspeaks.org.     ELIZABETHVILLE - Kathryn (Miller) Wertz, 70, of Elizabethville passed away Monday, January 25th at home. Born September 21, 1950 in Lykens, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn (Klinger) Hunter of Lykens. She was a 1968 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School. She was a collector of porcelain dolls, Boyds Bears, cherished Teddies, and Santas. She also enjoyed baking cookies for all occasions, especially Christmas. Her family members were the most important people in her life. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Daniel C. Wertz of Elizabethville, sons Daniel J. Wertz of Smethport, PA, and Kevin E. Wertz of Gratz. The greatest joy in her life was her grandson Dylan Jacob Wertz. She is also survived by a sister Karen Gehring of Millersburg. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth G. Miller, Sr. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Sweitzer's Memorial Cemetery in Berrysburg, PA.
