    Schwalm Rites
    Services for Vilma "Mim" Schwalm, 53, of 1818 W. Main Valley View, who died Thursday at her home, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, with the Rev. Dr. Donald Fishel officiating. Interment will be in St, Paul's Cemetery, Sacramento. There will be no viewing. Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View, has charge of arrangements.
    Born in the Dornsife area, Sept 24, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Martha Bobb Troutman.
    Mrs. Schwalm was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, and Swatara Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Tremont. She was a volunteer for the Hegins Area Ambulance Association until she became ill.
    Surviving are her husband, Clair; a son, Fireman Kevin Schwalm, with the Navy aboard the USS Fife based in San Diego, two daughters, Carol Pasirba, Lavelle, and Jodi, at home; two stepdaughters, Claire Nicksic, Lititz, and Deborah Schwartz, Hegins area; a stepson, Steve Schwalm, at home; five grandchildren; a brother, Robert Troutman Dornsife area; three sisters, Virginia Snyder, Millersburg, and Violet Lesher and Verna Miller, both of Halifax area.

    Steve Thomas Schwalm, age 61, of Lavelle, formerly of Valley View, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
    He was born on Wednesday, May 29, 1957, in Pottsville, a son of the late Clair M Schwalm and the late Ruth A Coleman Schwalm.
    Steve was a 1978 graduate of Intermediate Unit 29, Mar Lin.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and by a step mother, Vilma 'Mim" Troutman Schwalm.
    He is survived by four sisters, Claire Nicksic of Lititz, Deborah Schwartz of Hegins, Jodi Spotts of Schuylkill Haven, and Carol Pasirba of Lavelle; a brother, Kevin Schwalm of Pitman; step mother, Joan Schwalm of Catawissa; and several nieces and nephews.
    Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View.
    Burial will be made in St. Paul's Cemetery, Sacramento.
    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hillside SPCA, 51 S P C A Rd, Pottsville, PA 17901.

    William H Wagner, age 86, of Hegins, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at his residence.
    He was born on Wednesday, July 13, 1932, in Valley View, a son of the late Daniel T Wagner and the late Mary E Hepler Wagner.
    He was a 1950 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.
    Bill served in the US Army during the Korean War.
    He was a mason for the former Russell Dietrich Construction, Valley View, prior to his retirement.
    He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.
    He was also a member of F&AM Valley Lodge #797 and American Legion Post 575, both of Valley View, and the PA Trappers Association.
    Bill was very proud of being a veteran and serving his country. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
    He is survived by his wife Dora Mae Schwalm Wagner, to whom he was married for 61 years.
    He is also survived by three sons, Daniel W Wagner and his wife Linda of Hegins, David C Wagner and his wife Peggy of North Manchester, IN, and Dale M Wagner and his wife Kelly of Halifax; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis L Artz of Valley View; a brother, James E Wagner of North Bend; and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Monday, March 4, 2019, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating.
    A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday at the church.
    Burial with Military Honors will be made in St. Andrew's Cemetery.
    Memorial contributions can be made to St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 221, Valley View, PA 17983.
    Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
