  John C. Jones
  John C. Jones, 88, formerly of the Klingerstown area, died Friday morning at the Tremont Nursing Center, Tremont, where he had been a patient since December 1982.
  Born in the Pitman area on April 3, 1899, he was a son of the late Gomer and Katherine Neiswender Jones.
  Jones was a retired farmer and carpenter and had last been employed, by Starr Poultry, Valley View. He was of the Protestant faith and had been a former member of the Klingerstown Fire Company.
  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Viola Kline, who died Oct. 9, 1965, and a daughter, Mrs. Marie Snyder, who died Feb. 13, 1984.
  Surviving are three sons, Harold, Hegins area, Ronald, Klingerstown area, Mark, Sunbury area, and three daughters, Arlene Clark, Spring Glen, Velma Zartman, Pitman area, Joyce Kahler, Dornsife area; one brother, William Jones, Shamokin, 20 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
  Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown area. The Rev. Bruce Dalious, pastor of the United Church of Christ, Klingerstown area, will officiate. Interment will be in Salem cemetery, Klingerstown area. There will be no calling hours Sunday evening.

  Mrs. Viola Kline Jones, 60, of Klingerstown RD, wife of John Jones, died at 10:20 p.m. Saturday in Good Samaritan Hospital where she had been admitted the previous evening. She had been in ill health for two and a half weeks.
  Born in Pitman, July 25, 1905, daughter of the late Charles and Angeline Weikel Kline, Mrs. Jones was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Klingerstown RD,
  Surviving are her husband; John; seven children, Marie, wife of Merlin Snyder, Leck Kill; Arlene, wife of Lyle Clark, Spring Glen; Harold, Hegins; Velma, wife of Guy Zartman, Lykens RD; Ronald, Klingerstown RD; Joyce, wife of Willard Kahler, and Mark, both of Dornsife RD; 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Miller, Klingerstown RD; Mrs. George Headdings, Rebuck; Mrs. Merlie Schreffler, Bethlehem.
  Funeral Wednesday afternoon from Salem Lutheran and United Church of Christ, Klingerstown RD. Rev. James Henderschedt and Rev. Doyle Luckenbaugh, both of Leck Kill, will officiate. Interment in adjoining church cemetery.

  Robert H. "Bobby" Jones, 69, of Lykens Township, passed away on June 10, 2019, surrounded by his family at home. He was born in Rough and Ready on August 25, 1949, a son of Evelyn Esther Jones and the late Harold Irvin Jones.
  Robert was employed at MI Windows and Doors for 42 years, graduated in 1967 from Tri Valley High School, and later from the Industrial Management Institute in Reading, earning an Associates Degree in drafting. He was the husband of Vicki Hoffman Jones.
  He was a life member of the Gratz Fire Company, Woodmen of the World, Friedens UCC, Pennsylvania State Snowmobile Association. Bobby enjoyed going to snowmobile races, spending time with his cat Mamma Kitty, going to Wildwood Crest and watching the Oklahoma Sooner's, LA Dodgers and the Green Bay Packers.
  Robert is survived by his wife Vicki Jones, son, Spencer Jones; daughter, Whitney Jones and precious little buddy Mamma Kitty.
  Private services will be held at a later time.
