    A county native, Hilda R. Stein, 69, of 61 Diamond Drive, Hamburg, widow of John W. Stein, died Wednesday morning in Reading Hospital. She was a patient since July 12.
    Mrs. Stein was a daughter of Charles and Edith (Bowman) Deiter. Her husband died in 1954.
    A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, she had been employed as a machine operator by Diener Industries, Inc., Hamburg.
    Surviving are three sons, Robert Renerhl, Shoemakersville; George Reinoehl, Spring Glen, and Mark Morgan, RD2 Hamburg; seven grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Dietrich of Wiconisco.
    Funeral services will be held Saturday morning from Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, with interment in the parish cemetery.
    The Burkey and Spacht Funeral Home, Hamburg, is in charge of arrangements.

Dietrich and Paul J. Huratiak; 2 granddaughters, Christa A. Ulsh and Lisa A. Maurer and 2 sisters, Willa Deiter and Hilda Deiter-Stein.
    Marguerite is survived by 3 daughters, Marlene J. Maurer, with whom she resided of Wiconisco, Mary Carol Timko of Lykens and Phyllis K. Maurer of Halifax; 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
    She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and loved to hear from the Bible. She was a former employee of Bobbi Rogers, Wisconisco; was well known for her cross-stitching work, but will be most missed for her laughter, humor, loving ways and family values. She loved and cared for many pets and strays in her years. She spent her lifetime helping to raise many children in the family and is cherished deeply in our hearts.
    Meet you at the Gates Marguerite, Mother, Grandmother, Friend and Child of God.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 14th, at her church, 519 Pottsville Street, with Pastor Annette Y. Shutt, leading the celebration of her life. Viewing will be from 10 a.m., until the time of the service Thursday at the church. Interment in Calvary United Methodist Cemetery.

    John H. "Jack" Deiter Jr., 84, formerly of Williamstown passed away Sunday at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
    Born in Tower City, April 1, 1928, he was a son of the late John Sr. and Myrtle Ritzman Deiter.
    Jack was a graduate of the former Tower City High School.
    He was the retired owner of the former J.H. Deiter and Sons, Tower City.
    He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Williamstown; a former member of Tower City Loyal Order of Moose; Tower-Porter Lions Club and Tower City American Legion and the Italian Lodge, Hershey.
    Jack was an accomplished drummer in many local big bands, including Herm Miller, Bob Alanbach, Hal Herman, Al Morrison and the Satin Tone Bands.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Freda, Florence, Merle and Pearl; brothers, Robert and Dale.
    Surviving are his wife, Flo-Ella "Buzz" Deiter.

    She was predeceased by two husbands, Harold Malick, 1961 and John "Jack" Deiter, 2013; a sister, Jackie Houtz.
