    Myrtle "Eleanor" Kimmel, 96, of 239 W. Centre St., Donaldson, died Thursday morning at her residence.
    Born in Tower City, Dec. 17, 1919, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Myrtle Ritzman Deiter.
    She retired as a library aide from the Pine Grove Area School District.
    Eleanor was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Donaldson, and a former member of the church consistory.
    She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Raymond "Gooks" Kimmel, in 2008; four sisters and three brothers.
    Surviving are three daughters, Eleanor "Jean" Carl, Manheim, Barbara, wife of Raymond Whittaker, Tower City, and Katherine, wife of John Kohr, Tremont; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
    A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Minnig-Berger Funeral Home, Tremont, with the Rev. Krista Keisling officiating. Interment will be in Donaldson Community Cemetery.
