    William P. "Bill" P. McDonald, 63, of Stockton-on-Tees, England, formerly of Tremont, passed away suddenly at home on Jan. 12.
    Born in Pottsville, Jan. 5, 1950, he was a son of the late Ambrose and Meriam Klinger McDonald, Tremont.
    He was a 1968 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School and was raised in the Catholic faith.
    Bill was a veteran of the Air Force.
    He worked more than 30 years as a groundsman for the council of Stockton.
    Surviving are his wife, Vera "Vicky"; a sister, Laurie Maley, Tremont; an uncle, Arch, Belle Vernon; a nephew, Christopher Maley, Scranton; and a niece, Courtney Melber, Yardley.
    Services in England took place at the Chapel of St. Bede, Teeside.
    Services locally for Bill will take place privately with the family.

    She was a past member of St. Paul's UCC, Robesonia, and currently a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg.
    She is survived by two daughters, Kathy, wife of Gifford Briner, Mechanicsburg, and Lesley Klinger, Hummelstown; four grandchildren: Nikkoel Stohler, Margaret Stohler and Dennis Earhart Jr., and Audrey, wife of Todd Bear; and three great-grandchildren: Landon Stohler, Kaitlyn Pates and Kera Earhart.
    She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Robert Irving; a son-in-law, Dennis Earhart Sr; and a grandson, Brock Earhart.
    Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31st, at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave.,
    Wernersville. Burial will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

    Ill for a long time, suffering with a complication of diseases, Gideon Erdman, 87, died Friday night at 9 o'clock at the home of his son, Farus Erdman, at Klingerstown.
    Mr. Erdman was a retired farmer and was a lifetime resident of the Klingerstown section.
    Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Edgar Hepler, of Lykens; Samuel Erdman, of Urban; Lewis Erdman, of Klingerstown and Farus Erdman, of Klingerstown.
    Funeral services will be held from the home Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock with further services at the Salem Lutheran and Reformed church at Rough and Ready. Rev. Fred Blank, of Leck Kill, will be in charge. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.

    DEATH CLAIMS RURAL WOMAN
    Mrs. Elizabeth Erdman Expired at Home After Long Illness.
    Mrs. Elizabeth Erdman, wife of Gideon Erdman, Mahantonga, died at her home at 7:30 Thursday evening of a complication of diseases following an illness of two years. She was 81.
    She was born in Schwova Creek, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Williams and spent her entire life in and about that community. Her death severed a marital union of 58 years as she was married to Gideon Erdman in 1875. She was a member of the Reformed church at Rough and Ready.
    Surviving to mourn her passing, besides her husband, are four sons and a daughter, Donald Erdman, Trevoiton; Samuel Erdman, Urban; Faris Erdman, Louis Erdman, Mahantonga, and Mrs. Mary Hepler; of and seventeen great grandchildren Hepler. Thirty-two grangchildren also survive.
    The funeral will be held at 1O:OO tomorrow morning from the home of Faris Erdman, Mahantonga.
