    Larry P. Neugard, 79, of Klingerstown, passed away Saturday, November 27th, at Green Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehab, Pottsville.
    Born in Ashland, on August 18, 1942, he was a son of the late Marie (Miller) and Paul Neugard. He was preceded in death by his wife Dianne E. Neugard who passed away May 4, 2020.
    Larry graduated from the Tri-Valley High School in 1960 and also graduated from Ford Business School in Pottsville.
    He was employed as an accountant. He started his career working for Clyde Mehlman's Shop, then worked many years at Wagner W. M. Sales Company Inc. in Winfield and retired from Ram Industrial Services Inc., Leesport.
    He was a member of the Salem Church of Rough and Ready. He was also a member of the Woodmen of the World Lodge 433 of Pitman.
    He loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their school and sporting events. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, going on walks and in his younger years enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling and golfing.
    Larry is survived by two sons Brent, husband of Pam Neugard and Brady, husband of Angela Neugard,all of Klingerstown; 4 grandchildren, Brittany, Brock, Lexi, and Dawson Neugard and one sister, Carol, wife of Terry Stehr.
    Viewing will be held on Friday December 3, 2021 from 10-11 AM at the Salem Church of Rough and Ready 11 Church Rd., Klingerstown with the funeral service following at 11 AM with Pastor Mark Mantz officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery Klingerstown, PA.
    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Church Memorial Fund, C/O Lori Brown 303 Valley Road, Klingerstown.

    Dianne Elizabeth Neugard, 77, of Klingerstown, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
    Dianne was born in Pottsville, on April 11, 1943, a daughter of the late Hannah (Boyer) and Blair Sitlinger.
    She was a retired cafeteria worker, working at the Mahantongo Elementary School and also worked for 30 years at Neugard's Produce and Greenhouse.
    Dianne was a member of the Salem Church of Rough and Ready.
    She looked forward to daily walks and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed working in the greenhouse and loved flowers, she also enjoyed going to the beach.
    Dianne is survived by her husband of 57 years, Larry Neugard; two sons Brent, husband of Pam Neugard, Brady, husband of Angela Neugard, all of Klingerstown; 4 grandchildren, Brittany, Brock, Lexi, and Dawson Neugard; two sisters, Renee Morgan and Janice Maurer and her husband Larry; and a sister-in-law Carol Stehr and her husband Terry.
    Due to current regulations services will be private with interment in Salem Cemetery.

    Thomas Edison Oldham, 58, of 1423 W. Main St., Valley View, died Sunday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
    He was born in Harrisburg, Dec. 9, 1946, a son of the late Wylie A. and Doris E. Ball Oldham. He was a 1964 graduate of John Harris High School, Harrisburg, a 1971 and 1974 graduate of Shippensburg University with a BS in accounting/marketing and an MED in accounting and management.
    He was a teacher for 28 years at Upper Dauphin Area High School, teaching accounting, typing and basic computer keyboarding and applications. He retired from education in 1999 and began working for the Department of Environmental Protection in the Office of Chief Counsel. He was most recently employed by DEP at Rausch Creek Water Treatment Plant, Valley View.
    He was a retired National Guard/Army Reserve officer, obtaining the rank of Major with branch qualification in ordinance, transportation and quartermaster. His term of duty included three years on active duty in enlisted status with service overseas in Germany, 14 years with the 28th Division Support Command in various duties, including four years as a Company Commander and four years as an administrative officer, three years with the 213th Area Support Group as Group Supply Officer and two tours with the Guard on Reforger 87 and Wintx 89.
    He was a longtime member, past president and past historian of the Hegins-Valley View Rotary Club. He was a member and secretary of F&AM Valley Lodge 797, Valley View, past high priest of Tremont Royal Arch Chapter 221 and a member of the Consistory, Valley of Harrisburg. He was also a member of the National Sojourners Inc., Harrisburg Chapter 76, a Masonic organization for military officers and senior NCOs.
    He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Fountain, where he was a member of the Fountainaires Men's Chorus.
    He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura D. Shull Oldham, in 1993.
    He is survived by his wife, Lorraine D. Deitrich Oldham, to whom he was married for 11 years.
    Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three daughters, C. Noelle, wife of Craig Petrasic, Campbelltown, Laura Michelle, wife of Josh Hercher, York, and Ilene Danielle, wife of Douglas Swartz, Harrisburg; two grandchildren, with a third expected in December; two brothers, David B. Oldham, North Olmsted, Ohio, and William P. Oldham, Elwood, Ind; a sister, Doris Ann Vargo, Middletown.
    Funeral services will be held in Christ United Church of Christ, Fountain, at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Claude Schach officiating. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Buffingtown-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the church. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be in St. Andrew Cemetery, Valley View.     Death Of A Young Woman at Orwin
    Mrs. Minnie Paul, aged 33 yrs., 1 month and 15 days, wife of Preston Paul, died at 10:45 o'clock Saturday night at her home at Orwin of hemorrhages after a brief illness. Deceased was a life long resident of Oiwin and was well known in the upper end of the valley. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her.
    She leaves to survive, besides her husband, five childien, her mother, Mrs. Hiram Donton, two brothers Elmer and Bay and two sisters, Annie and Ethel Donton, all of Orwin.
    The funeral took place at 10 o'clock Thursday morning from her late home at Orwin and was largely attended. After a brief service at the house by Rev. Ira F. Frankenfield, the remiains were taken to the L. & R. cemetery for interment, after which the services were concluded by the same pastor in the Lutheran and Reformed church.

    Mrs. Estella I. Leitzel, 60, Herndon RD1, native of Orwin, died last Thursday evening in the Good Samaritan Hospital where she was admitted that morning.
    The daughter of Preston and Minnie Douton Paul, she was a member of Himmel's Lutheran Church, Rebuck.
    Her husband, Albert, died several years ago.
