Born in Pottsville, Aug. 7, 1937, Skip was a son of the late Leroy C. and Rose McGready Miller and brother of the late Judith Miller Herbert. Skip was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He graduated from Pottsville High School in 1955 and Valley Forge Military Academy in 1957. He also attended King's College, Wilkes-Barre.
He was the manager at Mady Car Wash for 13 years before moving to funeral sales, where he retired from Reynoldsville Casket Co. in 2006. He also served in the Army Reserves for six years and was assigned to the 365th Engineer Battalion.
