    CHARLES H. ROTHERMEL
    Charles H. Rothermel, 140 West wood St., Minersville, died suddenly at his home Saturday afternoon. He was under the care of his doctor but was not seriously ill.
    He was a son of the late Amos and Liza Rothermel and was born in Klingerstown. He settled in Minersville when a young boy and was a former baseball player on the old Minersville team. He was last employed as a foreman at Lytle Colliery but was retired for 11 years. He was a member of the English Lutheran Church.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Bessie Crone; one daughter, Mrs. Roy Kissinger, at home; one son Harry, New Jersey one grandchild, and two brothers Claude and Milton both of Minersville. A brother, Edwin, died three years ago.
    Funeral Tuesday afternoon from Ritzel Funeral Home, Minersville with Rev. Raymond C. Miller, pastor of English Lutheran Church conducting services. Burial in Mt. Peace cemetery.

    Mrs. Lucy (nee Rothermel) the widow of Charles Oerther, of 3215 Forty-First st., Long Island, N. Y., a former resident of Minersville, died suddenly in Gimbel's. Department Store, Philadelphia, Monday, death resulting from a heart attack.
    Mrs. Oerther, active in politics, was in Philadelphia attending the Republican Convention as a delegate from New York.
    Born in Minersville, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Elizabeth Klinger Rothermel, and was a resident of Long Island for 35 years.
    Her husband died 15 years ago and she is survived by four brothers, Edward, Claude, Milton and Charles Rothermel, all of Minersville.
    Her body was brought to the Ritzel Funeral Home, Minersville, from where the funeral will take place on Thursday afternoon. The burial will be made in Mt. Peace Cemetery.

    Claude F. Rothermel, 8 Carbon St., Minersville, died at Pottsville Hospital 8:43 a.m. Friday. He had been a patient since July 30.
    Mr. Rothermel was founder of the Rothermel Dairy, Minersville in 1914. It was incorporated in 1932 and he was active in the business until his retirement in 1954.
    Born in New Castle, October 18, 1883, he was a son of the late Amos and Eliza Klinger Rothermel.
    Mr. Rothermel was a member of First Methodist Church, Minersville; a director of First National Bank, Minersville and a former vice president of the Minersville School Board.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Jones; two daughters: Margaet wife of Wilbur Umler, Minersville and Helen, wife of William J. Bush, Tampa, Fla; five grandchildren.
    Another daughter, Mrs. Mary Fitzpatrick, died in 1953.
    Mr. Rothermel was the last member of his immediate family.
    Funeral services will be held Monday morning from Weissinger Funeral Home, Minersville, with Rev. Robert Hoover, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be made in Mt. Peace Cemetery.
