    Ezra M. Schwalm, 60, of 119 N. George St., died at the Pottsville Hospital, late Tuesday morning. He had been ill but a few days. He was a tailor employed at the local Dout-rhsh Store.
    He was born and reared in Pottsville, and was a son of the late Samuel and Mary Schwalm. He is survived by his wife, who was formerly Miss Laura Schraeder, of Pottsville, and the following children; Roy, Norman, Paul, and Ruth, wife of Arthur Kalbach, the latter of Richmond Manor, N. J. Several brothers and sisters also survive. They are: Ira Schwalm. of Valley View; Elvin Schwalm, of Hegins; Mabel Schwalm, California, and Edith Schwalm, living in Phila.
    The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o clock from the Schwalm home on N. George St. Undertaker Claude Lord will be in charge.

    Lois was born in Pottsville, a daughter of Paul and Dorothy Rist Swalm.
    She graduated from Pottsville High School in 1947.
    Lois married Kermit "Doc" Weiske in 1952. They were married 62 years.
    Lois was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon, a past member of the Ripon Women's Club and the Study Club. She presented and discussed impressionism paintings to students in elementary schools and also taught water color painting to the accelerated art students in high school. Lois enjoyed water color painting, golf and her family.
    Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Dorothy Swalm, and her husband, Doc.
    She is survived by her daughter, Jayne Weiske, Santa Fe, N.M; three sons, David Weiske, Chicago, Ill., and Steven and Michael Weiske, both of Ripon; two grandchildren, Morgan and Mason Nellis; sister-in-law, Karlyn (Harold) Robeson, Jacksonville, Fla; brother-in-law, Kenneth Weiske, Berlin, Wis; one cousin, Jessica Quattrocchi, Pennsylvania.
    Visitation for Lois will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St., Ripon, Wis. Memorial service for Lois will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the church. The Rev. Clay R. Salmela will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon, at a later date.     Kermit George "Doc" Weiske, 86, of Ripon, Wis., passed away Thursday at Ripon Medical Center.
    Doc was born May 18, 1929, in Montello, Wis., a son of the late Charles and Winnifred Eichler Weiske.
    He graduated from Berlin High School in 1946, and graduated from Ripon College in 1950. Doc later received his master's degree from the University of Wisconsin. He taught and coached at Fort Atkinson High School from 1950 to 1958 before coming to Ripon College.
    Doc was inducted into the Ripon College Hall of Fame in 1980. As a player and later as a coach, Doc Weiske was Ripon's Mr. Basketball and his collegiate scoring record of 1,188 points stood for 28 years. Highlights of his years as Ripon's coach (1958-66; 1972-80) include five Midwest Conference championships, two NCAA Division-III playoff appearances and a 203-148 collegiate coaching record.
    He married his wife of 64 years, the former Lois Swalm, formerly of Pottsville, in 1952. He departed coaching in 1980 to focus on his growing insurance and securities business. He eventually opened the Weiske Agency. Doc was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Ripon.
    He was a retired member of the Board of Trustees at Ripon College, a past president and board member of the Wisconsin Golf Association and he also served as a board member at Mascoutin Golf Course. He was selected as a charter member of the Ripon College Hall of Fame as well as a member of the Wisconsin State Basketball Hall of Fame.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzanne; sister-in-law, Marcella Weiske.
    Surviving, in addition to his wife, Lois, are a daughter, Jayne Marie Weiske, Santa Fe, N.M; sons, Steven Paul Weiske, Ripon, David Charles Weiske, Chicago, Ill., and Michael Edward Weiske, Ripon; a brother, Ken Weiske, Berlin, Wis; a sister, Karlyn (Harold) Robenson, Jacksonville, Fla.
    A memorial Mass for Doc will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 Blossom St., Ripon, with the Rev. Robert A. Fictum as the celebrant. A Celebration of Life for Doc will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Royal Ridges, Ripon, with full military honors starting at 3:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Ripon College Athletic Department, P.O. Box 248, Ripon, WI 54971.
