    Pearl E Maurer, age 89, of 81 Deep Creek Rd, Hegins, Pa, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, at the Brandywine Hospital, Coatesville, Pa.
    Born in Weishample,Pa., February 13, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Maude (Kessler) Klinger.
    She was a seamstress at the former Philmark Mfg. and also along with her late husband operated a family farm.
    She was a member of the Church of God, Valley View, and the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens. She enjoyed winters in Ft. Myers Florida.
    Her husband Clarence Maurer died in 1989.
    She was preceded in death by a son Richard Maurer; by five brothers, Allen, Gurney, Stanley, Calvin, and Clair Klinger; and by three sisters, Irene Ludwig, Laura Kissinger, and Dora Ebert.
    Surviving are two sons; Ronald Maurer, Corning, NY, and Roger Maurer, Lancaster, Pa; a daughter, Susan Englebert, Elverson, Pa; and a sister, Verna Shuey, Mt. Joy, Pa. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
    Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2004, from the Church of God, Valley View, with the Rev. Gerald Frey officiating.
    A viewing was held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
    Burial was made in the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View, Pa.5,6

    Calvin G. Klinger Sr., 70, of 918 E. Fir St., Palmyra, died Monday, Qct. 25, 1993, in the Hyman Caplan Pavilion, Lebanon. He was the husband of Pearl M. McQuate Cassel Klinger.
    Born in Ashland, he was a son of the late Clarence M. and Maude l. Kessler Klinger. He was a retired conductor for the Reading Railroad and Conrail with 33 years of service. He was a member of the Spring Creek Church of the Brethren, Hershey; the Railroad Retiree Club as tour and recreation director; the United Transportation Union and AARP, Hershey. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
    Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons Calvin G. Klinger Jr., Clifton Heights, Theodore M. Klinger, Cameron Park, Calif., Gene R. Klinger, Middletown; daughters Margaret, wife of Glen Albert, and Pattilynn, wife of James Mullenhour, both of Middletown, and Ellen, wife of William Boyd, Harrisburg; 13 grandcrhildren; nine great grandchildren; stepchildren Robert Cassel, Glen Bumie, Md., Janet, wife of Hayden Mclean, Akron, Pa., and Joanne, wife of Jeffery Baylor, Harrisburg; four step grandchildren; brothers Clair Klinger, Weisample, and Stanley Klinger, Gordon; and sisters Pearl Mauer, Dora Ebert and Verna Shuey, all of Hegins. He was preceded in death by brothers Allen Klinger and Gurney Klinger.
