    A native of Mahanoy Plane, he was a son of the late Edward and Agnes Tanner Brehony. He was educated in the Mahanoy Plane schools, but lived most of his life in Frackville.
    A veteran of World War I he served with a field artillery unit He was a member of St. Joseph's Church at Frackville and the Holy Name Society of the parish.
    Surviving are his widow, the former Verna Mervine, two step-sons, Marian [Marvin] and Clarence Reed, of Frackville and seven grandchildren.
    The funeral will take place Saturday from the Burke Funeral Parlor, 217 South Lehigh street, Frackville, at 8:45 a. m.
    High Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9:15 a. m. in St. Joseph's Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery at Englewood.

    Albert C. Ochs
    Albert C. Ochs, 63, of 403 W. Laurel St., Tremont, died at 9:15 Sunday night at Pottsville Hospital, where he was admitted Jan. 20. He had been ill several months.
    Mr Ochs was born in Frackville, son of the late Robert and Edith Mervine Ochs and lived in Tremont 51 years. He had been employed for 41 years by the J. Robert Bazley construction company, Pottsville and at the time of his recent retirement was shop superintendent. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Tremont, and the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, Pottsville.
    Surviving are his widow, the former Evelyn McCaughey; two daughters, Wilda, wife of Gerald Frew, and Genevieve, wife of Robert Leininger, both of Tremont; six grandchildren; three sisters, Edith, wife of Charles Zerbe; Grace, wife, of Albert Shebakis; Mrs. Wilda Derr, all of Tremont.
    Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon from the W. E, Minnig Funeral Home, Tremont, with his pastor, the Rev. Andrew J. Stauffer, officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Tremont.

    Robert W. Ochs, 59, of 501 West Laurel St., Tremont, died Wednesday afternoon in Pottsville Hospital where he had been a patient since July 4. He was in ill health for several years.
    Born in Frackville, he was a son of the late Robert and Edith Mervine Ochs, and was a resident of Tremont for 50 years, the family having moved here when he was nine years old. He was married to the former Gladys Bowers.
    Mr. Ochs was last employed as a maintenance supervisor at Gold Mills, Inc., Pine Grove for 10 years.
    He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Tremont; of Swatara Lodge No. 267 Free and Accepted Masons, Tremont; and of Oak Grove Sportsmen's Association, Pine Grove RD1.
    He is survived by his wife, Gladys; two sons, Robert of Norristown and William of Tremont; two daughters, Joan Ochs of Springfield, Va., and Barbara, wife of Kenneth Wolfe, Pine Grove; one brother, Albert Ochs, Tremont; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Shebakis, Mrs. Warren Derr and Mrs. Charles Zerbe, all of Tremont; and seven grandchildren.
    His funeral will be held from the W. E. Minnig Funeral Home, 120 West Main St., Tremont, at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Tremont. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 o'clock noon until time of funeral. There will be no viewing on Friday evening.

    Born in Frackville, Nov. 1, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Edith Mervine Ochs.
    She was retired from the former Morris Manufacturing, Tremont.
    She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Tremont.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in 1999; two sisters, Wilda Derr and Edith Zerbe; two brothers, Robert and Albert.
    Surviving are a daughter, Mary Lou Allar, Pottsville; four grandchildren, Amy Farr, Gretchen Tokonitz, Michael Allar and Francine Bensinger; seven great-grandchildren.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in Immaculate Conception Church, Tremont. The Rev. Mike Ahrensfield will officiate.
    Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Minersville.
    Memorial contributions may be made to Seton Manor Activities Fund, in care of the Manor, 1000 Seton Drive, Orwigsburg, PA 17961.

    Mrs. Zerbe was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Tremont; Order of the Eastern Star, Tremont Woman's Club and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
    Surviving are her husband Charles; two sisters, Mrs. Wilda Derr and Grace, wife of Albert Shebakis, of Tremont; nieces and nephews. A brother Albert died in February.
    Private services will be held at the convenience of the family Friday from the W. E. Minnig Funeral Home, Tremont, with interment in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. Andrew Stouffer will officiate.
