    BERRYSBURG -- Irene C. Brosius, 87, of Berrysburg, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Sunbury Community Hospital.
    She was born March 17, 1914, in Hebe, Northumberland County, a daughter of the late Maurice and Catherine (Wiest) Brosius.
    She was a member of Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, Gratz.
    Ms. Brosius was retired from self employment as a domestic housekeeper.
    She formerly performed with the Central Pennsylvania Gospel Band. She also enjoyed quilting and making braided rugs.
    Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by four brothers, Fred, Carlos, John and Harold, and by one sister, Mabel Boyer.
    Visitors may call from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, 6297 Lykens Valley Road, Gratz.
    The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church by the Rev. Tim Dotson. Burial will be in David's U.C.C. Cemetery, Hebe.
    Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Welseyan Church, 6297 Lykens Valley Road, Gratz, PA 17030.

    Chauncey E. Boyer, 80, of Millersburg, died Monday at Harrisburg Hospital. He was a retired machinist from Keystone Tool Co. In Millersburg. He was a member of David's United Church of Christ of Hebe; Susquehanna Lodge F&AM, of Millersburg. and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, of Millersburg.
    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mable C. Boyer; a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Swinebart, and a foster son, John A. Boyer, both of Millersburg; a brother, Ramsey E. Boyer, of Herndon BD, and a number of grandchildren.

    Ray LaVerne Boyer 48, life-long resident of the Herndon RD, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday in . Geisinger Hospital, Danville, where he had been a patient for 22 days, and had undergone major surgery. He was a farmer by occupation.
    H was born May 1, 1912, in Jordan Township, the son of Chauncey Elwood and Mabel Broscious Boyer, now residing in Millersburg. A member of David's United Church of Christ at Hebe, he was confirmed in the Spring of 1928 by the late Rev. E. S. Noll. He had been a member of the church consistory since being confirmed. He was married to the former Arlene Anna Kolva of Lykens Valley area on June 25, 1938, by the late Rev. Noll.
    Surviving are his parents, his wife, and the following children; Shirley, a graduate nurse residing in Danville; Dennis and Kenneth, at home. One sister, Mrs. Pauline Swlnehart, Millersburg, also survives.
    Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thrsday from David's Lutheran and United Church of Christ at Hebe. Officiating will be Rev. Jacob M. Singer, Herndon, pastor of United Church of Christ, assisted. by Rev. Paul W. Billow, Urban, Lutheran pastor of the Hebe church.
    Friends and relatives may visit the Edwin Hoover funeral home, Dalmatia, from 7 tb p.m. Wed- nesday, and at the church from Thursday noon to time of services. Interment will be in the Hebe cemetery.

    Robert R. Schwalm, 85, of 1433 W. Main St, Valley View, died at 6:15 Sunday morning at Good Samaritan Hospital where he was admitted Wednesday.
    Mr, Schwalm was born Jan. 16, 1891 at Fountain and was the son of the late Jackson and Sarah Hauck Schwalm.
    Before retiring he was a weighmaster and later was employed by the Hegins Township Landfill Authority.
    He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church of which he was a past treasurer. He had been recording secretary of the Sunday School for about 40 years. He was a member of the Men's Bible Class and an honorary member of the Administration Board of the church.
    He was a former director of the Hegins Township School District, a former member of the Valley View Park Association and a former secretary of the Valley View Fire Company.
    His wife, the former Minnie Harner, died July 26, 1967.
    Surviving are five children, Mrs. Verna Keener and Mrs. Rita Otto, both of New Cumberland; Mrs. Isabel Posipanko, Levittown; Jacob and Henry, both of Valley View; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters and one brother, Mrs. Mary Lewars, Schuylkill Haven; Mrs. Minnie Adams, Mrs. Carrie Koppenhaver, Grace and Stanley Schwalm, all of Valley View; Mrs. Sarah Reiner, Elizabethtown.
    Services will be held Thursday morning from the Robert Miller Funeral Home, Valley View, with the Rev. Leland Keemer officiating. Burial will be in Sacramento Union Cemetery.
