    Wilson Elvin Morgan, 73, of Valley View, died early Wednesday morning at Ashland State Hospital. He had been admitted as a medical patient August 26, following a lengthy illness.
    A native of Hegins Township, Mr. Morgan was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Morgan. Employed as an independent miner, he retired in 1955. Mr. Morgan was a member of the United Brethren Church, Valley View. His first wife, the former Minnie Kroh, died in 1912 and his second wife, the fomrer Emma Etzweiler, died in 1955.
    Surviving from his forst marriage are three sons: Allen, Muir; Harry and Elmer, both of Lebanon. Surviving from his second marriage are four sons: Floyd and Charles, both of Valley View; Warren, Muir; Walter, Hegins; five daughters: Mrs. John Kaufman, Mrs. Monroe Shaffer and Mrs. Allen Miller, all of Elizabethville; Blanche, Valley View; Mrs. John McCue, Lebanon; three stepsons: Harry Etzweiler Hegins R.D.1; Norman Etzweiler, Valley View; Marlin Etzweiler, Good Spring, and several gradchildren.
    Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Buffington Funeral Service, Valley View, has charge.

    She was preceded in death by brothers Roy & Clyde Dockey, and sisters Mabel Queer, Faye Wise, and Maude Bucher.
    Services will be held at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes, Inc., Elizabethville on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 11 AM with Rev. Barry Ridge officiating. Friends will be received from10-11 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
    Interment will follow in the St. Peter's "Hoffman's" Cemetery.

    Ronald served in the Navy for 9 1/2 years. He work at Reiff and Nestor, Lykens; Penn Dye and Finishing, Pine Grove and retired form Ikon Office Solutions in Harrisburg. He was a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ, Lykens, a lifetime member of the Gratz Fire Company and the Gratz VFW Post 2385. Ronald was a member of the Gratz Ambulance Crew, Gratz Historical Society and served as an assistant Scout Master. He also enjoyed fishing.
    Ronald is survived by his Spouse Boneita Miller, daughter, Robin M. Dunn and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death a daughter, Tracy Ann Straub.
    A viewing will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Saint Peter's U.C.C., Lykens Twp. Funeral service will follow at 11:00am also from the Church. Interment will take place in the Saint Peter's Cemetery, Lykens.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.4

    Robert A. Geist, 83, of Ephrata, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at Ephrata Community Hospital.
    Mr. Geist was born in Gratz to the late Russell and Felma Geist. His family relocated to Millersburg, where he spent a good portion of his life before moving to Ephrata.
    Until his retirement, he was employed by Dun and Bradstreet as a yellow pages territorial manager throughout much of Pennsylvania. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and cooking. He operated his own catering business for a number of years. Mr. Geist was a member of the Lancaster Forest #27 Tall Cedars of Lebanon, the Ephrata Blue Lodge #665 F. & A.M. and various service clubs. He served as vice chairman for the Ephrata Borough Authority and was instrumental in establishing the Moose Lodge in Millersburg. Mr. Geist was a member of First United Methodist Church of Ephrata.
    He is survived by his wife: Eudora (Reitz) Geist; son: Christopher R., husband of Jacque Geist; eight grandchildren; and brothers: Lin, husband of Gayle Geist; and Carl Geist.
    He was preceded in death by daughters: Carol and Susan.
    A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 23 at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata, with Rev. Walter Carter officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
    The family wishes to thank all the staff of the Ephrata Community Hospital ICU for their support and compassionate care.
