    Longtime Alaska resident THOMAS EDWARD WOLFE, 60, died June 5, 2000, in Portland, Ore., where he had resided since 1994. A service was held at Riverview Abbey Mortuary in Portland. Because of his military service, his request was that his ashes be interred at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
    Mr. Wolfe was born in Tacoma, Wash., in 1939. After graduating from Stadium High School, he served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963 and graduated from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma in 1965. He married Lynn M. Loomis in 1965. Mr. Wolfe lived in Anchorage from 1971 to 1993 with his wife, Lynn, and their daughters, Alisa and Jolie. He worked in administration for the Anchorage School District. Mr. Wolfe was chairman of the board of supervisors for the Upper O'Malley Limited Road Service Area for 10 years and was elected president of the board of directors at the the FM public radio station KSKA in 1993. In Portland, he worked in administration for the Portland Development Commission until his death. His family wrote: ''He was known for being generous and considerate, a real people person. He was a most beloved father, husband and friend. He shall be sorely missed.''
    He is survived by his wife and two daughters; mother, Evelyn Wolfe of Tacoma; brother, Buck Wolfe of Graham, Wash; and sister, JoAnn Burbank of Federal Way, Wash. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society.

    Born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, Don was predeceased by his brothers Herman and William. He is survived by his wife Beverly of 61 years, sister Beth, brothers Bert (Irene) and Clint (Shirley), niece Charlene (Rob) Kirkley, great niece and nephew Christy and Brody along with several nephews, nieces and cousins. Don was in the Canadian Navy. He served on the Uganda, Mic Mac, Ontario and The Cresent. He was at the Yang Sea incident in China. Don worked for 43 years at Canadian Boxes and was Electrical Supervisor for Crown Zellerbach and Fletcher Challenge. Special thank you to Dr. Perry and the staff of TCU at UBC Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Children's Hospital. Funeral Service will be held in The Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home (3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby) on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 12:30 pm.
