    Williamstown, Jun 13. -- Suddenly at 4 A. M., Saturday Michael Knorr, an old and well respected citizen of town passed away at the age of 59 years 3 months, and 24 days. He was well known in town as he was but 12 years of age when he came here from Mahanoy where be was born Feb. 16, 1864. He was married Jan. 22, 1885, to Mary Jane Fry a daugter of Mrs. John Griffith, who with the following children survive: James at home; Herman, Maize, ( Mrs. Ed. Hahn); Florence, (Mrs. Ed. Russel), all of Camden, N. J; McKinley, Martha, (Mrs. Stackhouse), Philadelphia; Mary, (Mrs. Geo. Uhler), town; 10 grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Reidinger of Harrisburg.
    Funeral services in charge of the Red Men were conducted at the home on Tuesday at 2 P. M., by : Rev. J. Carpenter Zook of Wiconisco. Beautiful and numerous floral designs were presented by relatives and friends. Burial was made in Fairview cemetery.
    Following from a distance were present: Herman Knorr, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Hahn, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Russell, Camden, N. J; McKinley Knorr and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Stackhouse Philadelphia; Geo.     Mrs. Mary Jane Knorr, wife of the late Michael Knorr, 84, Williamstown died at her home on South street, Tuesday afternoon. She was an invalid for the past four years. She was a daughter of the late John and Martha Williams Fry, and lived in Williamstown for 75 years.
    She was a member of the Methodist church. Her husband died 22 years ago, and she is survived by three sons and four daughters: James, at home; Herman, Mrs. Mazie Hahn, Mrs. Florence Russell and Mrs Harry Stack, all of Camden, N. J; Mc-Kinley, Philadelphia; and Mrs. Mary Uhler, Williamstown, and 15 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. Also one brother, George Fry, Tocomoke Cityr Md., and one sister, Mrs. Susan Donley, Williamstown and a half-sister, Mrs. George Fetterolf, Harrisburg.
    Funeral services this afternoon from the Dodson funeral home, with Rev. W. F. Bryan, paMary Jane Frytor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery.

    Gerald Owen (Gerry) Gipple, who won the northwest diving championship during hit Stadium High School days, died Tuesday in Portland. He was 38 years old. An ardent sportsman, he was affiliated at the time of his death with the Columbia Athletic Club in Portland. He was a native of Everett, but received his schooling here. Gipple attended the University of Washington after his graduation from Stadium. He moved to Portland 12 years ago where he was a tile contractor with the Oregon Art Tile Co. and wu a member of the Tile Contractors Association and the Builders Exchange Cooperative.
    Gipple is survived by his wife, Alice, two daughters, Carol and Marian, and a son, Gerald, all of the home; a brother, Donald, of Tacoma; a sister, Mrs. Patricia Ostling of Santa Rosa, Calif., and his mother, Mrs. Edith L. Gipple of Santa Rosa.
    Services will be held Saturday at 11 a m in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Portland.
    The body will be brought to Tacoma and will lie in state Sunday afternoon and evening in the Mountain View Funeral Home.
    Graveside services will be held Monday at 11 .a.m in the Mountain View Cemetery in Tacoma with Gene Gunderson, William Synder, Ewin Shannon, William Holmes, Ernest Myers and Robert Martin serving as pallbearers. The Rev. Walter J. Knudson will officiate at both services.
