    Roscoe Earl Blyler, 87, of 1455 W. Maple St., Valley View, died Feb. 12 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
    Born in Lykens, April 26, 1918, he was a son of the late Harry E. and Nina H. Rettinger Blyler.
    He was a 1936 graduate of the former Lykens High School and a 1944 graduate of Penn State University.
    He served in the Army as a Corporal in World War II, receiving five bronze stars and one bronze arrowhead.
    He was employed as a mechanical engineer at the Department of Defense, Washington, D.C., until his retirement.
    He was a member of Trinity, Lutheran Church, Valley View.
    He was also a member of West Palm Beach Governors Club, Old Point Yacht Club, West Palm Beach, Fla., and the Royal Poinciana Chapel Palm Beach.
    He was a widower of Irene E. Starr Blyler. He was preceded in death by a second wife, Edith J. Hanson Blyler, in 1997; two brothers, Paul D. and Ray A. Blyler; a sister, Marie E. Donahue.
    He is survived by a sister, Marjorie L. Anderson, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
    Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, with the Rev. Carl Shankweiler officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Maple Grove Cemetery. Elizabethville Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
