    Accident Kills Mother Of Three In Pine Grove
    A Pine Grove RD 1 mother of three died in the Reading Hospital Saturday evening following a one-car crash in Pine Grove Saturday about 5:30 p.m.
    Mrs. Janet M. Felty, 30, was taken to the Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville, in the Pine Grove ambulance immediately after the crash. She was transferred to the Reading Hospital with severe head injuries. She died in the Reading Hospital about 10 p.m.
    The accident occurred inside the borough limits as the auto was traveling east on West Mill Street. Mrs. Felty was traveling from her home when the auto hit an icy patch and skidded into a telephone pole in front of 193 W. Mill St. She was alone in the car.
    Police Officer Clark Schaeffer, Pine Grove, said the foreign compact car was demolished.
    Survivors
    She is survived by her husband, Ronald, and three children, Kathleen, Dane and Christine. The latter is three months old.
    Mrs. Felty was a native of Pine Grove Townsnip and a daughter of Mrs. Ivy White Klinger Reichert, Pine Grove area, and the late Elmer Klinger.
    She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Charles and Eugene Klinger, Zanesville, Ohio; Kenneth Reichert, Pine Grove RD 2; Mrs. Bessy Hein, Bethlehem; Mrs. Arlene Fidler, Pine Grove RD 2, and Mrs. Anna Mae Smith, Frankfurt, Germany.
    A grandmother, Mrs. Angeline White, also survives.

    Betty (Klinger) Hein, 91, of New Tripoli, died Sunday, February 19th at Cornerstone Living Nursing Home. Born in Pine Grove, PA she was the daughter of the late Ivy and Elmer Klinger. She was the wife of the late Merritt E. Hein. Betty was a member of Wesley Methodist Church in Bethlehem. She dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family.
    She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Thomas Hein of Allentown, daughters, Jane Pierce of Nazareth and Christine Reichard of Bethlehem, grandchildren, Jillian Hahn of South Whitehall, Richard Reichard and Andrew Reichard of Bethlehem, great grandson, Maxton Hahn, sister, Anna Mae Smith of Kansas and half brother, Kenneth Reichert of Pine Grove. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Pulley, brothers Charles and Eugene Klinger and sisters Arlene Fidler and Janet Felty.
    Services: A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, Pa 18018 from 9-11 AM followed by a service at 11 AM. Burial will be at Bethlehem Memorial Park.

    Arlene E. Fidler, 86, formerly of Pine Grove, passed away on Friday at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Schuylkill Haven.
    Born on July 26, 1928, in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Klinger and Ivy White Klinger Reichert.
    She had been a seamstress at the former Pine Valley and Summit Station Manufacturing, Pine Grove, prior to working as a cook in the deli of Berger's Market and then as an operator and quality control employee at the former Gold Mills, Pine Grove.
    Arlene was a member of Hetzel's United Church of Christ in Pine Grove.
    Preceding her in death were her husband of 50 years, Elvin "Curly" Fidler, Aug. 28, 2000; two brothers, Charles Klinger and Eugene Klinger; and a sister, Janet Felty.
    Surviving are a daughter, Carol, wife of John Haldeman, and a son, Gary Fidler, both of Pine Grove; four grandchildren, Haley, wife of Steve Hardenstine, William Haldeman, Megan Lengle and Cody Fidler; a great-grandson, Kade Haldeman; two step-great-grandchildren, Rory Hardenstine and Royale Hardenstine; two sisters, Betty Hein, Nazareth, and Anna Mae Smith, Kansas; and a brother, Kenneth Reichert, Pine Grove.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with the Rev. Mary Lou Eckels officiating. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hetzel's Cemetery, Pine Grove. The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in her memory to the Hetzel's UCC Memorial Fund, 261 Hetzel's Church Road, Pine Grove, PA 17963.

    Edward I. Knorr, 44, Klingerstown R.D., died yesterday at noon in the Geisinger Memorial Hospital, Danville. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. He was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday.
    Born in Dornsife R.D., April 17, 1916, Mr. Knorr was a son Mrs. Jennie (Strohecker) Knorr and the late Isaac Knorr. The late Klingerstown resident was em ployed as a farmer, previously, Mr. Knorr was a railroad employe. He was married to the former Miss Rhoda Harlan.
    Survivors include the widow, mother, four brothers, Lee, Elizabethville R.D; John and Ernest, Klingerstown R.D., and Mahlon, Dornsife R.D. and one sister, Mrs. Luma Underkoffler, Sunbury.
    Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in Lawrence E. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown R.D. The Rev. J. C. Glessner, pastor of United Church of Christ, Leck Hill, will officiate. Burial will be in the Salem Church cemetery, Klingerstown. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow evening.

    Born Oct. 22, 1929, in Rough and Ready, he was a son of Jennie (Strohecker) Knorr, Sunbury, and the late Isaac Knorr. His wife, the former Fern A. Troup, died in 1982.
    Mr. Knorr was last employed by Weis Markets, Sunbury. He previously worked at Mohawk Door Co;, Northumberland RD1.
    He was a member of Salem Reformed Church, Klingerstown.
    In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Randy E. of Selinsgrove RD1 and Ralph E. of Sunbury RD3; four daughters, Ruby A. Fern of Sunbury, Rachel A. Evans of Sunbury RD2 and Rose M.     DORNSIFE - A private funeral service for Mahlon J. Knorr, 49. Dornsife RD1. will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lawrence E. Rothermei Funeral Home, Klingerstown RD, by Ronald Knorr of Lukens RD1, nephew of the deceased.
    Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Klingerstown RD.
    There will be no viewing or visitation Friday evening. Mr. Knorr died at 6:15 a.m. Thursday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Northumberland County coroner. He was a farmer by occupation.
    The son of Mrs. Jennie Strohecker Knorr of Dornsife RD and the late Isaac Knorr, he was born in Dornsife RD, Oct. 8, 1924.
