    Services for Yvonne A. Heim, 29, of Grove Drive, Hegins, who died Friday at Tremont Nursing Center, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of God, Valley View. The Revs. Gary Shew and John Ritchey will officiate. Interment will be in Church of God Cemetery, Valley View. There will be no viewing this evening. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
    Born in Pottsville, April 1, 1964, she was a daughter of Claude Jr. and Ellen Blyler Knorr, Hegins.
    She was greenskeeper at Lykens Valley Golf Course, RD Millersburg, before becoming ill.
    She was a member of the Church of God, Valley View. Surviving are a son, Rahn, Germany; a brother, Kent Knorr, Hegins; a sister, Heather Knorr, Hegins; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Knorr Sr., Gratz; a companion, Michael Carl Reading.

    Born in RR1 Klingerstown, June 18, 1917, he was a son of the late Fred and H. Ursula Wolfgang Knorr. He was educated in Klingerstown area schools.
    He was a coal miner for Kocher Coal Co., Valley View, in the Porter Tunnel until retiring in 1979.
    He was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ, RR1 Klingerstown, and Gratz Fire Company. He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis L., in 1952; a granddaughter, Yvonne Heim, in 1994; a sister, Faye Bixler; three brothers, Guy and two infants.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Ethel I. Scheib, to whom he was married 56 years; a son, Claude L. Jr., Hegins; a daughter, Carol E. Tucker, Atlanta, Ga; two brothers, Lawrence, RR1 Hegins, and Lester, Dornsife; a sister, Bernice Harter, Middletown; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, RR1 Klingerstown. The Rev. Mark I. Rothermel will officiate. Interment will be in Salem UCC Cemetery, RR1 Klingerstown.

    Rodney Roy Heim, age 44, of 1435 W Main St, Valley View, died Wednesday, April 12th, 2006 In Valley View. He was born in Pottsville, on May 9, 1961. He was a 1979 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and received a Bachelors Degree while serving in the US Army. He retired from the US Army. He currently was employed as the Post Manager for American Legion Post 575 Valley View. He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins. He was also a member and Treasurer of American Legion Post 575 Valley View, a life member of VFW Post 8237 Valley View, a member of the Valley View Gun Club and the Valley View Fire Company. He was a coach for the Tri-Valley Girls Softball Association.. He was preceded in death by his first wife Yvonne (Knorr) Heim in 1994 and by a brother Rodger C. Heim in 1979. He is survived by his wife Petra (Strauch) Heim, to whom he was married for 16 years. Surviving in addition to his wife are his mother Geraldine M (Schultz) Heim of Valley View; three sons Rahn R husband of Renee Heim, State College, Jehramy Heim, Kansas City, Mo., and Riley P Heim, at home; two daughters Kathrin C Heim and Carol A Heim, both at home; His father in law and mother in law Heinz and Marga Strauch, of Germany; brother in law and sister in law Roland and Sabine Koppe, of Germany; nephew Maximilian Koppe, Germany; and niece Christina Koppe, Germany.     Virginia E. "Gini" Knorr, 65, of Northumberland, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020, at her home.
    She was born May 19, 1955, in Gratz, a daughter of Laura E. (Herb) Knorr of Valley View and the late Wallace E. Knorr.
    Gini was a 1973 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and later received her bachelor's degree from Penn State University. She later continued her learning by completing the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners Program.
    Gini was a passionate reader and quilter. Her greatest joy was found in gardening and she was a member of the Susquehanna Valley Garden Club.
    In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer L. and Nathan A. Schock of Barnesville, and Lucy and Nick G. Bagdonis of Orwigsburg; two grandchildren, Ian D. and Lorelai S. Schock; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lennard E. and Karen Knorr of Dillsburg, and Randy and Debbie Herb of Gratz; one sister and brother-in-law, Julie D. and Rick Derck of Shamokin; her partner, Joan M. Krick of Northumberland; and her beloved dogs, Daisy, Truvy and Blue.
    A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
    Contributions in Gini's memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Central PA, 101 Erford Road, Suite 201, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
